Can I organise my own wedding on the property?

Plynlimmon is a DIY outdoor venue so you can host the event for up to 80 people while staying at Plynlimmon. We have packages to help you get started and then you do the rest. We have items that can be hired, a hospitality profesional and coordinator. We are here to help you as much or as little as you require.

How many guests are permitted to stay in the 1860 heritage cottage during an event?

Two couples can be accommodated in the 1860 heritage cottage. The bridal party and catering staff may have access to the cottage on the day of the event.

Do you provide food and drink?

We do not serve food or drink; however, we are able to suggest catering companies to you. Remember a person with an RSA must be on site during the event. If you do not have one, we have a professional event person available at an additional charge.

Can I book the gardens for photo shoots ?

The gardens, heritage barn and the exterior of the house make stunning backdrops for photos and are available for hire throughout the year.

How many car spaces are available for an event?

The grounds at Plynlimmon are both large and expansive, and the focus has been on making them a great place to walk around. There is very little parking available on the property itself. The number of off street parking spaces are restricted to 30 cars. If the number of guests at your event is more than 60, we suggest car pooling or arranging people movers on the day.

Marisa and Guido were a amazing communication was just phenomenal Marisa organised the marquee, tables chairs,urn coffee cups luxury toilets( they were beautiful), signing table bar hire accommodation she met withy videographer and photographer and caters so they could do walk throughs and work out the technical stuff. I came down sick on the Friday night before the wedding I tried my hardest to finish setup but it wasn't to be Marisa and Guido stepped in and went above and beyond the end result was stunning. And I can't forget the tiny extra touches just beautiful getting married there was the best thing ever I can't recommend them enough do your self a favour and book them as your wedding venue you won't regret it

The cottage at Kurrajong was the perfect venue and location for us to have our rustic DIY wedding. The beautiful gardens and landscape was perfect for photos. The main event area was ideal for a garden marquee wedding and allowed us to utilise the space to create our perfect wedding. The bridal party got ready in the house which was perfect and so convenient for the bridal party to get ready at the venue. The owners of the cottage at Kurrajong were incredibly kind and accommodating and were helpful throughout as required. Anyone looking for a beautiful DIY wedding, plynlimmon is the place for you. The cottage has some great businesses which they can recommend to make the DIY process smooth sailing, who are already familiar with the venue

Cocktail Style Reception Order of Events

Hi All, We are having a cocktail style reception (no sit down dinner) for our wedding. The ceremony starts at 3pm, reception starting at 4pm for 4 hours (8pm). My question is what would be the order of events for the reception? There is no garter or bouquet toss, I'm giving my bouquet to my grandma. My thought is, 415pm introductions > 430pm toasts and speeches > 5pm bouquet to grandma > 515pm cake cutting > 530pm first dances > 6pm party dancing > 745 send off > 8pm end. Does that seem ok? Or do you suggest something different? Thanks!
