OVERVIEW
Cornwallis House is the jewel of the Hawkesbury, located on the banks of the peaceful Hawkesbury River, only an hour from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. This is a privately owned property set on a working orange orchard with a gorgeous big Queenslander style house offering luxury accommodation for eight people.
We specialise in small to medium size outdoor country garden style weddings from 60 to around 160 guests. You will have exclusive use of the property for the weekend to create the wedding of your dreams. The added benefit is that you can extend the celebrations with a pre-wedding dinner and/or a “recovery” brunch the following day.
With mesmerising views of the river and surrounding lush green countryside Cornwallis House is perfect for adding your own touch of magic. There are many picturesque locations on the property which are ideal for the ceremony and photos – you will be truly spoilt for choice.

We both have over 40 years experience in the travel and tourism industry and are very customer focused. We have been doing weddings at Cornwallis House for 7 years and thoroughly enjoy working with clients to help make their wedding everything they want it to be, and to run smoothly on the day. We are easy going and flexible and will work with you to make your wedding a fun, casual, relaxed, and unique event that will have your guests go "WOW" and talk about for ages.

FAQ
Cornwallis House isn’t a “function centre” so we’re unable to hire the house out just for 1 day for the wedding. You need to book accommodation (i.e. hire the whole house) for a minimum of 2 nights to go with the venue hire in order to hold your private wedding event on the property. For this reason we have put together a Wedding Package which includes the accommodation and the venue hire together with facilities, furnishings and equipment you’d need for the wedding.
