Hi, my name is Erin and I am the owner and wedding coordinator of Ekhidna Kitchen. We are a restaurant, function venue & cellar door in the beautiful McLaren Vale. I have worked in the hospitality industry my entire adult life, I'm so passionate about people, about food, about high quality experiences and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to show case this incredible venue and connect with couples to give them one of the most amazing days of their lives!

Are you pet friendly?

Yes! We are most definitely pet friendly... any pet is welcome! We want all wedding couples to feel welcome bringing their pets to spend their wedding day alongside them aswell.

Do you offer bonbonniere?

Yes! We offer half bottles of our award winning shiraz! These are a great hit, and we take the stress away so you do not need to organise this yourself! This can also be created with a customised label which can include your wedding date or anything you have in mind!

Ekhidna has an amazing view of their vineyard and has a beautiful cellar door and restaurant we used for our wedding. They also printed us menus, welcome sign and seating chart which was a bonus!

A great place! The ceremony was beautiful in front of the vines and reception was great on the outside patio like area. The food was delicious and service great!

The best venue in Adelaide!! A beautiful ceremony location with the hills and vineyards as the backdrop, an amazing adaptable reception area, and the most delicious food, wine and beer in all of McLaren Vale! All the staff are friendly and fun, and Erin the coordinator made everything run smooth. The packages they offer include so much that they made a lot of preparation so easy.

We loved Ekhidna! We loved to choose a smaller more family owned vibe for a location. Phemie was everything you want in a cordinator: steady and calm always, friendly and approachable, reliable and also a decision maker- we were a little wishy washy with what we wanted sometimes and she was so great with suggestions around what has worked well in the past. We had some intial issues with our original cordinator leaving and when we talked through our concerns Phemie was professional accountable and empathetic. Ekhidna is stunning and our friends and family LOVED that food and wine and said that there was plenty of it!! We did a sit down/share plates style FYI- we loved spending time there leading up to wedding and can't wait to go back again and again and relive!

At Ekhidna winery and restaurant we have a beautiful restaurant that over looks the vines to the Mt lofty ranges which would be perfect for your wedding luncheon.
