As we approach the end of 2022, planning for 2023/2024 weddings are well underway. So what trends are we set to see coming into the new year?
Couples have begun moving away from tradition and allowing more of their personality to show through in their styling.
We are going to see vibrant, bright colours with bold use of seasonal florals and minimal greenery in larger installations and distinctive use of stationary. Think citrus tones, festival theme and 70’s vibes.
Although we have the use of bold floral installations, tablescapes will become simple & minimal.
We will also see weddings featuring earth tones including white, natural linen, cream, brown & burnt orange throughout their florals, attire & tablescapes.
Mismatched colours, styles and patterns of bridesmaid dresses will continue to rise in popularity giving the bridesmaids much more of a chance to show their personality, be comfortable and hopefully buy a dress they will wear again.
Sustainability will become more important to couples. This will be shown through a trend of digital invitations, menus per table rather than per person, skipping the favours, seasonal florals and re-purposing.
Many will continue to opt for smaller, intimate weddings and elopements. We will also see the number of weekday weddings grow.
The popularity of videography has been on the rise and this is set to continue due to social media trend of videos spurred through tiktok and reels.
Audio and video guest books will join polaroid cameras as a popular alternative to the traditional written book.
