“Kylie and the team at Tumbleweed Events are the absolute best. They helped with styling our beach wedding ceremony and it was absolutely gorgeous. The florals were amazingly beautiful and Kylie went out of her way to find the flowers that I was looking for. She was so easy to deal with and really cared about making us have the best day possible. There were a few challenges with the weather on the day (including very gusty winds), however, everything was achievable for them and I knew I was in safe hands. Would highly recommend to any person (or couple) looking for a wedding or event stylist.” - Nicola W.

Tumbleweed Events
Hi,
Thanks for reaching out. It really depends on where you are at with your wedding planning and if you have some ideas already. If your someone that is not sure what theme/colours you like then a stylist could be helpful early on in the process to help guide you . If you have some ideas already and kind of know what you want then you could engage with a stylist a few months out to help bring it altogether and make sure you have a cohesive look/theme. I would start with pinterest , start saving ideas, colours , themes that you like and then you will get a good idea what your drawn to.
What colours match a chardonnay wedding dress?
Hi I brought a gorgeous chardonnay coloured wedding dress which I love (and surprised me since it's not white). The problem I have now is I originally wanted a dusty blue/ grey for bridesmaids (colour scheme) and sunflower bouquets which I've now been told ( and we noted when at dress shop) won't really match or look very good together. I've been told I should go pink or maroon and I really don't like pinks (or maroon). Is there any other colours you could recommend? Now worried I should change the dress. The style is vintage/ rustic. Any advise greatly appreciated and taken under consideration.
Tumbleweed Events
Hi Natasha,
Don't change your dress you love it and that is the most important thing!! I disagree with the advice you have been given, all you need to do is tie it all in together. Make sure you have elements of dusty blue/grey in the bouquet or the ribbon hanging from the bouquet. If you find a really good florist they should be able to create an eclectic mix of flowers featuring the sunflowers, grey blue tones and elements of foliage. I do't believe in rules, it's your day have what you love and make it work ! If I could upload some images I would show you how to tie it all together?! Good luck with it all... go for what you want !
What do you look for in a wedding decorator?
Do they usually do flowers as well or is that a stylist? What is the difference?
Tumbleweed Events
Hi,
When looking for a wedding decorator check out their website and previous weddings they've worked on, this will give you a good indication of their work. Find a decorator with style that appeals to you this will help when coming up with the look and feel of your wedding. Decorators and stylist are generally the same thing, some will also offer flower arranging depending on their expertise. Wedding decorators/stylists offer different levels of styling, it will depend on whether you already have strong ideas on what you want the day to look like and need someone to help execute your vision or you have no idea and want someone to create the event from scratch.
Make sure the wedding reflects who you are as a couple as opposed to what's on trend or other people's expectations.Try to add a bit of uniqueness to the event as it makes it more personal and an event that people will remember.
