FAQ
We recommend finalising your booking with us at least 4 months prior to your event date. This allows us enough time to teach you properly, but also gives you enough time after the lessons are over to practise yourself.
Any bookings made less than 2 months prior to your cut off date (date of your final lesson or Video Tutorial delivery) will incur an additional late booking fee of $85.
A cut off date is the date of your last lesson with us, or the date you want your video tutorial delivered.
Where possible, you must give at least 24 hours notice of rescheduling a Face to Face or Online (Google Meet) lesson. Failure to do so will result in you still being charged for the hour even if you do not attend.
Rescheduling lessons are solely dependant upon our and studio availability and the time of year (peak wedding season).
See Terms and Conditions for more information.
For Face to Face and Online lessons, we allow you to take a video at the end of each lesson of either you or us for your own practise. We request that you only use this choreography for your own event and only share if you acknowledge Ekta Creative Dance Studio™? as the owner.
Yes. If you live outside the Sydney metropolitan area, and still want Face to Face lessons, we are happy to offer a combination of Online Lessons or Video Tutorial with one or two Face to Face lessons (additional travel charges will apply). Please contact us to work out a package that will work for you.
This depends on the skill level and experience of the dancers, and how long your routine is. If you are not sure, simply get in contact us and we'll be more than happy to advise you.
Yes, absolutely! We offer one-off Dance Floor/Baraat Lesson's for anyone looking to learn some basic moves to whip out on the dance floor at the end of the night, or even during a Baraat.
Yes, we are happy to offer you a discounted quote if you require more than one routine from us. Please contact us to find out more.

My partner and I can't agree about dance lessons. We both def want to do the first dance and I think we should get it choreographed but he reckons we should just make it up ourselves. So, what are the benefits of us getting lessons and having it choreographed? I need some ammo haha.
I have about 10,000 left in my wedding budget, and I have all the main stuff covered. What else?
What else should I do for my wedding? I have venue, cars, makeup, hair, flowers, suit, dress, favours, accessories, officiant, band and photobooth... what else am I missing?
Ekta Creative Wedding Dance Lessons
Hi there!
If you're planning on doing a First Dance, or any sort of dance performance at your Reception (or other wedding events), booking in some dance lessons could be a good option.
Dance Teachers are skilled in creating choreographed routines that are suited to your skill and experience level (even if you have never lifted a foot before). You can give them a song to choreograph to or even request some guidance on how to do certain moves for your dance floor.
Kindest regards,
Auntora

Hi Jessica!
I've been asked this question many times, and the best response I can give you, is that it really depends on what vision you have for your First Dance.
A choreographer will take your song suggestion and create a sequence of movement inspired by the song's rhythms and musicality. They will then teach you in a structured and progressive manner often backed by extensive teaching experience to ensure you are able to learn and perfect your dance to look spectacular on your big day.
That being said, getting a choreographer can also mean having to make time for your lessons which can be both good or bad, because it could actually force you to make time for it, or it could become an added stress for you.
Now, if you're looking for are just some simple moves that you can repeat and alternate between in your first dance, then this is definitely something you can do by yourselves, YouTube has heaps of videos you can refer to! But if what you're after is someone with experience to do it for you with teaching expertise, than a choreographer is the way to go.
Either way, it really comes down to what you want, so take your time, talk it out, and I hope you eventually find what you're looking for! :)
Kindest Regards,
Auntora
