It is recommended to have a miniumn of 3 lessons to create a 3 minute dance.
It's recommended to start your wedding dance lessons at least 2 to 3 months before your wedding. This gives you plenty of time to learn the steps, practice, and feel confident. Starting earlier is better if you want to work on more complicated choreography or learn several dances.
Not at all! Wedding dance lessons are designed for all levels. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, the instructor will tailor the lessons to your skill level. Many couples start with no dance experience and feel confident by their wedding day.
Comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended, especially those that are similar to what you’ll wear on your wedding day. (brides wear heels!). Otherwise, dress in clothes you can move freely in.
Reminder to groom to do a squat test in your tailored wedding pants!
Each dance lesson occurs for 1 hour and at the end of each lesson, we video record what you have learnt in order for couples to take home and practice before their next lesson.
Dance 4 Your Day offers Private lessons. They are ideal for wedding dance preparation because they offer one-on-one attention and allow you to progress at your own pace. Group lessons can be fun, but they often don’t give the same personalised instruction. If you're looking for fast results and individual guidance, private lessons are the way to go.
Your instructor can provide many suggestions for you and It’s never too early to start practicing your dance, even if you haven't picked the exact song. Your instructor can teach you basic steps and techniques, and once you’ve chosen your song, you can tailor your lessons accordingly. Many couples pick their song during their lessons after discussing the style and mood they want to create.
Yes! Many dance instructors offer virtual wedding dance lessons via video call, which can be a convenient option if you’re short on time or live in different locations. While it can be a bit more challenging without in-person feedback, it's still a great option for learning the basics or practicing between in-person lessons.
