Wedding insurance is an insurance policy that couples can purchase that covers any out of pocket expenses in the event that something goes wrong on the lead up to, and on, the big day. Wedding insurance ensures that you’re reimbursed for lost deposits and payments and will also cover additional costs associated with the wedding and related services.
Australian resident couples getting married anywhere in the world. Dream Wedding Insurance can be purchased by the Bride, Groom or a member of their immediate family.
Cover starts from the day you take out a policy. You can purchase Dream Wedding Insurance no less than 30 days and no more than 18 months prior to the wedding day. The policy coverage will cease at the completion of the wedding event.
No. There is no excess or deductable on this policy.
The reception must directly follow the ceremony in order to be covered
Yes. Dream Wedding Insurance provides overseas wedding insurance. We will cover weddings taking place anywhere in the world. Section 9, Personal Liability is excluded for overseas weddings. Please refer to page 10 of the policy wording.
Generally, couples will choose a level of cover based on their total outlay/budget. This way, if the worst were to happen and everything had to be cancelled/rescheduled, you would not be left out of pocket.
Claims can be lodged online on our website or by emailing claims@dreamweddinginsurance.com. You’ll then be contacted by the claims team to finalise your claim.
Yes, we cover visa holders, temporary residents and permanent residents.
