Yes, absolutely! When our couples begin their search for the perfect venue, your wedding planner will first work to understand your preferred wedding location whether that’s in the Hunter Valley, Newcastle, Central Coast, Port Stephens, Sydney, or any other destination you have in mind.

Once we’ve established a location, we’ll discuss the type and style of venue that aligns with your vision and budget. The venue’s style plays a key role in shaping the overall aesthetic of your day, whether you’re dreaming of a rustic farm setting, a modern and luxurious space, outdoor, or beach style celebration, etc.

Your budget is a crucial factor in this process, and your wedding planner will help you navigate different venue options from fully inclusive venues (covering ceremony, reception, catering, beverages, and accommodation) to partially inclusive or complete DIY venues. While all-inclusive venues typically come at a higher price point, they offer greater convenience by streamlining multiple wedding elements through one provider. On the other hand, DIY venues often require sourcing separate vendors for catering, beverages, furniture hire, generators, marquee hire (if needed), and more.

Once we’ve curated a list of venues suited to your style and budget, you’ll select your favourites, and your wedding planner will coordinate guided tours of each venue arranging them in the most efficient order for your convenience. After viewing, you’ll choose your ideal venue and then revisit it with your wedding stylist to begin the exciting design and planning process.

Yes, as a wedding planner the first priotity is venue sourcing, though the specifics can vary from planner to planner. In my experience as an event planner, here’s how it typically works:

  1. Initial Consultation:
We start by discussing your vision, budget, guest count, and any specific preferences. This helps us understand what kind of venue will suit your style and needs.
  2. Research & Shortlisting:
Based on your criteria, we research venues in the desired area—leveraging our existing relationships and insider knowledge to compile a list of options that fit your vision.
  3. Site Visits:
We arrange visits to your top choices so you can get a feel for the space, ask questions, and evaluate the layout, amenities, and overall ambiance.
  4. Negotiations & Booking:
Once you’ve chosen a venue, we assist with negotiating contract details to ensure you get the best value and that everything aligns with your overall wedding plan.
  5. Coordination with Vendors:
Because the venue is the backdrop for your entire celebration, we work closely with all your vendors to ensure the design, logistics, and schedule flow seamlessly.

While not every wedding planner may offer venue sourcing as part of their services, many do it as part of a comprehensive package. It’s always a good idea to discuss your specific needs with your planner upfront so you both are on the same page.

Absolutely! Wedding planners can help couples find and book the perfect wedding venue by first understanding their preferences and budget. They do the research, find available venues, schedule site visits, and negotiate terms. Once a venue is chosen, the planner finalises the booking and handles all logistics, ensuring a smooth process for their couple.

Absolutely if you book in for full planning with us we find out what you need from a venue and can research and recommend based on your needs - take one of our current couples Alice and Michael as an example - busy working couple - Vietnamese background - they needed space for 200 guests, wanted the ceremony and reception at the same venue so there guests only had to travel to one location, good food with the option to celebrate and bring in Asian cuisine as this is super important to them and a gorgeous venue.

After looking at multiple options they settled on Bramleigh Estate.

You give us the brief and we include vendor research for EVERYTHING as we know you're busy! :)

While we often have clients who have already selected a venue and date before hiring us, we also have clients who require assistance with venue selection. Hiring a wedding planner prior to selecting your venue is a great idea as they can help you to find a venue that meets your vision and requiremets. Things to consider are venue style, alternate weather back up options, minimum and maximum guest numbers, budget, wheelchair access (if required), decibel limits (important to consider if you dream of hiring a live band), etc. Venue selection assistance and recommendations is included in my planning packages.

Yes! A planner can help you find all vendors from the very start of your wedding journey or if you have certain places in mind, they can reach out initially to compile all the information you're after to help make the big decisions for your magical day

Absolutely, yes!

We normally meet with our couples to get information about their desired dates, styles, individuality, and visions. Then we can go from there and either recommend venues were worked at that are available, or we can go out hunting for a venue that will work for you.
