To have lawn games or to not have lawn games?

We know that our photos are going to take at least 3 hrs after the ceremony and we will have pre-canapes avaliable as well as the bar... my mum seems to think this is enough. However i still like the idea of hiring out some games for the guests to pass the time... we won't have too many children there and everyone is family so I'm just looking for some advice as to whether its worth me spending the money on it and if people are going to use them?

Hi Alexandra,

Absolutely, lawn games are a great way for your guests to not only pass the time, but some guests love a bit of competition and generally get everyone involved, creating a fun atmosphere and wonderful photo opportunities... Congratulations and best wishes for your wonderful wedding.

Hi Alexandra Molloy

With such a break between the ceremony and the reception i would recommend cames to keep guests entertained as long as this falls in your budget as wedding can be quiet a hit in the pocket.

Hope this helps

Go for it. Games are brilliant in adding a different layer of interacting between guests and have some basic fun. I know some couples who have done a mystery wedding treasure hunt (dependent on location and theme) as well to help with the time.

Enjoy your wedding and if you need any other help, don't hesitate to ask.

When in doubt, have some Lawn Games! Absolutely, anything that will help entertain the guests is great: games, outdoor photo booth etc.

All the best,

Hi Alexandra, lawn games are a great way for your guests to mingle and get into the wedding spirit. Its a great way for them to spend their time while they are waiting for the bride and groom to come back from photos. Definitely a yes from me

Hi there,

I say, absolutely. I love Lawn Games as a way to entertain the guests whilst the bride and groom are preoccupied with the photographer. It also allows your guests to bond and it makes for some great photos. In fact, I am having lawn games at my own wedding!

Hope this helps!
