Madeline did all our decorating. We met with her beforehand to gain some inspiration on the style we wanted. She communicated constantly with us. She went in on the day and did her thing and was gone before anyone was there.

how long is it okay to leave guests while having photos?

Hi. I'm getting married on my future in laws property. And I was wondering how long is okay to leave guests while we go away to take photos? It's possibly an hour round trip just to get to and from a location to have photos done.

Hi there,

If your ceremony and reception are at the same venue or in close proximity then we usually suggest that 2 hours at most. By the time the guests move from one location to the next and catch up with each other this usually fills most of the time. We always suggest having activities or something around to entertain guests during this time, and even recommend drinks and nibbles. If you are having live entertainment at your reception, they may be able to offer a pre reception service. Given that you are having your reception on a property, giant yard games are a fantastic idea!

Am I supposed to feed and provide breaks for my wedding suppliers on the day?

Hey I was just wanting to find out what the protocol is for wedding in regards to breaks and feeding people such as photographers and djs. What are the legal things I need to keep in mind?

Hi Leah,

Great question, one that we get asked a lot! Majority of suppliers including DJ's, photographers, videographers etc who will be with you over a long period of time on your wedding day will make sure they schedule some time in for breaks (this is usually when everyone is eating as they find most people don't like being photographed etc with a mouth full of food) We always suggest to our couples that they provide a meal for the suppliers who are going to be there during your reception particularly over the meal time. Some venues even offer a discounted rate for service providers.
