FAQ
Packages start at $980
For full day packages, I cover both bride and groom preparations (usually about an hour and a half for the guys and 2 hours for the girls, but there’s no set times), throughout the ceremony and portraits afterwards, and through until 11pm (or whenever your reception finishes, if it’s a lunchtime wedding). That means your entire day is covered, including all your formalities through the reception, as well as your bouquet and garter, and farewells.
For a Ceremony+Portraits package, I allow for around 2.5 to 3 hours of coverage, starting from the ceremony start time. That usually gives us enough time to cover the bride’s arrival, ceremony itself, group shot and family portraits afterwards, and then around 1.5 hours to cover bridal party all together and of course, the bride and groom.
If you have requirements that don’t fit either of those scenarios, that’s fine – I’ll customise something for you.
Our wedding photography prices include your complete set of finished wedding images in high resolution, and a set in screen resolution as well (to make it easy to email them and put them on facebook, etc.). We don’t include every single shot – you don’t need the ones where someone blinked or looked away. There’s no minimum number and no maximum – the way we think about it is “if these were my wedding photos, would I want that shot?” . If in doubt, we leave it in the finished set.
The finished set are colour corrected, cropped and made print-ready. They’re processed in a natural and classic style, and where we think images are suited to black-and-white treatment we’ll include a black-and-white version as well. And you get to review them all in your password-protected gallery before we create the final set of high-resolution versions, so if there are any any changes you’d like, just let us know.
No, not watermarked in any way. They’re print ready, and you’re free to have prints made wherever you like.

I'm looking for a photographer that can fit into my small budget of 5,000 in melbourne?
My venue is in the yarra valley, I like candid images

Hi there,
Congratulations on your wedding news and on picking a venue in the beautiful Yarra Valley.
As well as the other great responses here, you may want to consider whether the photographer is accredited by the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography), which ensures they are indeed a professional and have covered things like insurance, offer a contract, etc.
Also, depending where in the Yarra Valley you're getting married, it would be worth talking to some photographers who are based in that area and who know the venues well.
Also, checking out reviews on Easy Weddings and Facebook will give you a great idea of past clients' experience.
All the best!
Cheers,

if a photographer is with me for 8 hours, when do they get a lunch break?
when is the best time to give them a meal?
Millgrove Photography
Hi there,
As others have mentioned, the short answer to this is usually - "what lunch break"? :-)
We're usually on the go from when we get to the prep locations through until you guys sit down for some entree, at which time it's a good time to take a short break for something to eat. Speaking personally, I also have a stash of snack foods and lots of water in the car, so I can keep the energy up through the day.
And, as Niki mentioned, thanks for the thought!
Cheers,
Jon

It's usually possible to cancel the photographer, although as has been mentioned it will depend on the contract you have in place with them.
It's always a good idea to ask what their cancellation/refund policy is - some have a strict no-cancellation policy, others have staged payments and some won't offer any refund at all depending on how far out the wedding is.
Wedding do need to be cancelled or postponed from time to time - we've had it happen for various reasons from the very sad to the very happy (like a new little one deciding to book their arrival date for the same day as the wedding! :)
If the question really is "can I get my deposit back if I cancel", it really will depend on your agreement with the photographer and their policy.
