I started shooting weddings before I left school, its been a great journey. I love working with wedding couples, on their happiest day ever :) !! Since I started my photography career I have had many achievements, winning national awards and having my photo-journalistic images collected by major galleries here in Australia and overseas. We loved having Craig photograph our wedding! The photos are stunning, we are lucky to have such beautiful memories. do i specifically have to tell my photographer what shots i want, or should i trust them

ive read heaps of forums with brides saying their photographer missed the 'dress hanging up shot' etc. to avoid this happening to me, should i be making a list of shots i want for my photographer?

Its great to have a discussion before your wedding and plan the style of photography you want. If you are after a casual candid style thats great. I have found over the years some couples have had a list for family photos. There are some photos they must have! So if you have special family and friends comming from great distances to celebrate your wedding with you and you want them photographed, I recommend you definatly make a list and give that list to a person you can trust who knows these people, who will help the photographer and make sure these special family photos are recorded at your wedding.

if im not hiring a flash car, can i ask my photographer to not take any arrival pics?

How do I stop a photographer using my wedding images for their promotion?

I have read a few contracts and I am so confused. Why don't I own the photo's of ME that I paid for? :(

This is usually part of a wedding photography agreement that you and the photographer agree to before your wedding. In the event that you did not make any previouse agreement you need to work this out now. You could try contacting The Copyright Councle of Australia they have some good guid lines.
