I love to play with editorial style photography, as well as fine art photography… I’m a graphic designer too, so anything graphical that makes a statement is my thing. In addition to capturing all the magic and madness of the day, I also want to make sure that you enjoy the whole process, from our first conversation right through to me delivering a set of beautiful wedding photos that will be treasured for years to come.
Because photography is so personal and subjective, trying to tell someone why they should choose you seems silly. I think that photos speak for themselves.

Get Expert AdviceWhat happens during a pre-wedding or engagement photo shoot?
I think an engagement shoot could be nice but I'd love to be more comfortable about what normally happens at one of these, obviously it's different to the wedding. I'm pretty awkward in front of the camera.
Do we get all the raw photos as well as the edited ones?
I was wondering whether it's normal to get two sets of photos, like, all the original ones and then the edited ones? Do we pick the ones to be edited or does the photographer do that?

From me personally, you will receive all high resolution, print ready, digitally edited images from the day. You won't need to pick which ones get edited.
I do not provide RAWs simplay because:
1. You will be unable to use this file type anyways (they're not the same as a picture format).
2. The editing is what shows you my style and my business. It's also a reputation. If I was to hand over RAWs and have someone else choose to re-edit, it can be detrimental.
3. You pick a wedding photographer not just on their style of photography, but also on their style of editing the images once captured.
I provide unlimted images from the day. I do not pick a limited number:
1. This takes too long for me to do, and I always end up with more favourites i'd rather keep lol
2. My favourites may not be your favourites. I'd rather let you as the couple pick your own favourites. This goes for albums and prints also. I personally only provide unlimited digitals. I like to let you choose which ones you want printed up.
3. On a standard wedding day, usually 5-8 hours, you can end up with 1000-4000 images captued throughout that day. On average, you will receive 2/3s of this.

Hi there :)
The engagement shoot is great way to get you feeling comfortable in front of the camera with your photographer (myself!) before your wedding day. It helps you feel more relaxed knowing that you know how I work taking photos, and you'll feel more comfortable on the wedding day having already "worked" with me :)
It's also a great chance to perhaps find those perfect locations that you didn't think about using prior. Some couples like to scout the locations they'd be using on the wedding day. Some are happy just to use a particular pretty location elsewhere instead. Totally up to you.
Engagement shoots work pretty much the same was as the wedding day. My photography direction will remain the same for both, relaxed, fun, candid and natural. I like to shoot "in the moment" style. I'm not one for silly poses etc. You'll definitely leave feeling easier about how the photography on the day will go.
If you don't wish to do the pre wedding shoot, (you may have already had one or simply aren't wanting one), alternatively a boudior shoot is available to the bride-to-be. These images can also be revealed to your partner on the day of the wedding if you like, capturing their reactions on camera in these moments.
