My photography style

I like to describe my style as beautiful, candid and creative. While there will always an element of posing in wedding photography, I pride myself on capturing real moments in between the poses and producing images that are an honest, fun and authentic depiction of your special day. Working with a bride and groom and their closest family and friends is a true privilege. Drawing out a person’s personality and their emotions through the camera is a challenge that always leaves me on a high. I don’t think there is any better opportunity that gives you the chance to connect with people at this level.

Christian was amazing not only in terms of photography but he is such a sweet guy. We were super happy and had photos taken in 4 different locations. We had pre wedding photos, ceremony, reception and he was great with candid shots.

Yarra Valley is a great choice! I’d love to help you and find out more about what you have planned. For your budget you will find a lot of photographers that could help you tell the story of your day. What you might want to consider is what do you want from your photography service;

- how long would I like the photographer to be there on the day

- how quickly will they turn around the photos

- how many photos will you receive and do they provide printable JPEGs?

- is album design included

- what sort of service do they provide - eg will you meet them before the day and how flexible are they on timings

Does the photographer drive themselves to the locations?

Would the photographer come with us or drive themselves?

Hi there and congratulations!

I usually drive seperately. Where I do jump in with the couples is they request it for some specific shots they would like to get in the car or as they are entering the car. Particularly where the couple has hired a specific car that they wanted.

do i specifically have to tell my photographer what shots i want, or should i trust them

ive read heaps of forums with brides saying their photographer missed the 'dress hanging up shot' etc. to avoid this happening to me, should i be making a list of shots i want for my photographer?

Hi there,

For sure! Photographers are generally always have different shots as there 'go to' shots. These are the ones that they know they have to take, e.g. dress hanging up! But outside of this throughout the day you are looking for those different moments that help tell the story, that help give the couple something different.

A good photographer wont be offended if you say, hey I would really like to get a photo of x. They should embrace it! Your helping them understand what it takes to make your day successful.

At the same time, you shouldn't have to tell the photographer here are all the shots I want! If you do, that means you probably aren't getting your values from it.

A lot of brides I speak to these days have pin interest boards for the wedding and I always ask if they would like me to be added to their board so I can get an idea of shots they like. That's a good way to collaborate and get on the same page!
