OVERVIEW

I aim to capture the emotions – happy & tearful – of each wedding I photograph. These spontaneous reactions are linked to the incredible energy that exists at a wedding. Everything is important, every detail has been planned and created for a particular reason. I love to photograph the essence of this.

I am interested in the love between the bride & groom, and recording that connection – the relationship and love that they share. This happens most effectively by photographing in a photo-journalistic (or documentary) style, with simple composition and beautiful light. This approach creates a wonderful set of spontaneous and creative images for the bride & groom to keep and revisit.

You will have forever a true record of the love and happiness of your day.

Our photos were amazing and completely exceeded our expectations. John Rice is the most incredibly talented photographer and captured our day just beautifully. He really put us at ease and was a joy to spend our day with. I would highly recommend John to anyone looking for a photographer. They are extremely professional and you definitely would not be disappointed.

My husband googled photographers and found John - and so glad he did! john was so easy going and we didnt even know he was there on the day! He captured our whole day with out it being stuffy boring. I didnt want hundreds of family shots - I jsut wanted to to be very natural and thats what we got with John. It was fabulous :)

John is so easy to get on with, super relaxed and bubbly person. Made the photo experience so fun, and of course captured the moments brilliantly. I think the only small area John could improve, is a little bit more direction and prompting on trying different poses/movements. But all in all John had great ideas for locations, and made the whole thing feel like fun and not a chore!
