About
Hello and thanks for visiting! A little about me... I'm a proud wife and mum. My family is my everything. I'm very fortunate to be in a position where I work from home and I do something I always wanted to do. My photography business has been going strong since I opened it and that comes down to my strong work ethic. I'm committed to my business and I feel honoured to be a part of such a special day. It's a big responsibility but one I'm very grateful for.

Get Expert AdviceIs a wedding album worth it?
Not sure about this. Thinking we might just do our own wedding album online but then again, we're not very creative. And do all photographers do albums or would we be finding our own company for it?
Should wedding photographers have two cameras?
Jodie Reardon Photography
Absolutely! No doubt about it. And for that matter, multiple lenses, multiple flash's and camera's that record to 2 cards. Technology as we know can fail and camera's can reach the end of life without warning. I've had lenses fail on me at weddings - however it did not affect me doing the job, because of backups. I even go as far as 3 camera bodies because I like to shoot the wedding with 2 camera's at all times.
Do photographers like to have a photo list from the couple?
Jodie Reardon Photography
I'm happy for couples to give me a list for family photo time (generally after the ceremony). Another tip I give couples is to nominate a family member to help round up the family. The photographer doesn't know who everyone is so when there is a family member who know's who is who, they are a wonderful help in making this part run quickly and not eat into the bridal portrait time. Remember you can ask your photographer for more family photos during the reception. On my questionaire I ask if there is anything the couple would like me to know, any special photos they would like, however I don't do a 'shot' list. With over ten years of shooting weddings I aim for those quintessential shots as well as capturing the moments that are happening right in front of me. If I was to pull out a list all day - I'd be missing the moment. Ask your potential photographers to look at whole galleries of weddings - look at what they are photographing and if this is the style you like.

An album is the final touch to your wedding photography experience. Many couples feel they will save money by doing one themselves and perhaps they will, but when you have your images shot and edited by a professional, it makes sense to purchase a professional album. Often cheaper albums are cheap because of the paper used and this can have an impact on the colours. Many couples with the intention of doing their own album find it a daunting task to select approximately 80 images out of 1000 to go into an album and often put it in the 'too hard' basket. Understandably!
Over the years I've been photographing weddings, I've seen the change in how I provide images. Firstly it was a disc, then USB and now digital download. I think an album is something you won't regret, but you might regret not getting one. If computers no longer read JPEG files, an album is a physical reminder of your wedding day, it's kind of like insurance and something to showcase your photos. You may love the photographers work but the album is out of the budget, ask them if you can purchase one later. Many couples come back to me months down the track to purchase an album and that is perfectly fine.
