Belinda & myself are joint owners & principal photographers with Be One Photography, we love nothing more than having heaps of fun with our clients who always remain close friends of ours after the wedding day. Between us we have literally decades of experience in this field & also are both national award winning professional photographers. We are fun loving & laid back, let that be part of your day.....

Be One Photography were excellent and were incredibly good with communication with a immediate response. They were very open with the service, pricing and if I had a question or a request they were very good at accomodating for it. Very easy to get along with and blended into the day. There are several benefits to an engagement shoot. It is a great way to actually get to experience how your chosen photographer works & how you feel with that, it gives you ideas of how you may like to be photographed, some bride & grooms like to be directed for shots where as others like to just have totally natural images, it also allows you a preview into being in front of the camera with someone that will capture some of the most important, personal & intimate moments of your life & finally it also gives you an insight into how you will feel in front of the camera. Another bonus is that you receive a lovely set of personal images to cherish on top of your wedding shots, these can be used for things like 'Save the Day' cards etc.

We at 'Be One Photography' include the 'Engagement' shoot with all 4 of our packages for the above reasons as we value them highly. The main advantage for both yourself & the photographer alike is that it is a great way to build a professional relationship & relax you that will undoubtedly be reflected in the images both in the engagement shoot & your wedding images.

Hi Tiana, This is a great question, and also one of the most important. The answer is Yes! Your beautiful wedding photographs are a real way to relive that magical day & using the services of a professional helps ensure that your photographs are just that, beautiful & magical. A professional wedding photographer would be all but invisible on the day & go about capturing everything in the most discreet & appropriate manner, this is your wedding day & not a private photoshoot, so the ability that only comes with experience, to adapt to any circumstance presented on the day and in varying light/weather really comes to the fore with a professional photographer.

Questions to ask a professional photographer would be; their experience, what suggestions they have for specific shots you may require, how they what flexibility there is with the packages & timings, how the finished images are presented, how they are they archived & for how long and lastly make sure that they are fully insured.

Meeting with a professional photographer is paramount because you will spend pretty much all of your wedding day in their company, so it is imperitive that you feel comfortable & happy with them, they will be your best friend on the day.

What to look for when choosing a photographer?

I want to know what is the best things to look for in a photographer so we aren't paying loads of money.

I'd place an accredited professional photographer high on the list of requirements to ensure they are regulated and adhere to professional ethical business practices. Choose the professional photographer(s) that you feel you gel with when you meet them. Whoever you choose will be with you all day and evening to capture some of the most precious moments of your life, so it is important you feel perfectly comfortable with them. It may not be obvious but check the insurances etc that they hold.There certainly are huge advantages to a company that provides more than one photographer for multiple aspects captured, especially a male/female team. As already said, it is important that the photography package has no hidden costs and that it is flexible to accommodate any special requests you may have.
