My photography journey began with a profound fascination with light and shadow. Every photograph is a way for me to communicate with the world.

Through my lens, I capture those fleeting beautiful moments, showcasing the pure and authentic beauty that emerges from the interplay of light and shadow. Every shoot is an adventure and a challenge, whether it's the limitations of a fixed-focus lens or the hustle and bustle of city streets. I am constantly exploring new perspectives and modes of expression.

Film photography, to me, is the embodiment of time and the poetic expression of light and shadow. In the moment of pressing the shutter, it feels as if I can hear the gentle whisper of light touching the film. Unlike the speed of digital photography, film is like a slowly aged vintage wine—it requires time to wait, and a heart to savor.

In those grains of film, I seem to see the past, feeling it drifting between reality and memory. Every roll of film carries an unrepeatable moment; the warm tones, the perhaps imperfect but genuine details, are the beauty I continuously seek.

I'm Evan, founder and lead photographer of Oaktree Weddings. I've loved photography since I was 15, starting with a toy camera from my dad. Real cameras revealed the magic of capturing memories. In my mid-20s, I found my passion for wedding photography. Over the past decade, I've developed a unique, documentary-like style that captures every moment naturally, without posing. My easy-going, flexible approach ensures high-quality, memorable photos that reflect the true magic of your wedding day.
