Firstly and foremost , I love what I do. That passion for photography shows through in the way I go about planning your Wedding day. i am meticulous in my planning, that planning is based on over 15years of Wedding photography experience but also done in consuktation with you the client, itr s your day after all. The images I create have an artistic bent to them, but done in such a simplistic way that Brides and Grooms are very comfortabe in how we create them. Having shot over 170 weddings now I know where I need to be at what point during the day to best capture great images, this can only come with experience. Lastly but not least I am very much a people person and love gettingf to know my clients as much as I can before the bigday rolls around and this relationship helps every relax and halps enormously in trusting me and relaxing on the dayu an together we create the best possible images to remember your big day.

Weddings are happy occasions and I thrive in such an atmosphere, I am very creative and I absolutely am passionate about creating the best possible images for my clients, not just for word of mouth referrals but because I dont take the resposnsbility of shooting your day lightly, we only get one go at it and am honoured with the trust ypu place in me and the  responsibility placed upon me. I have the type of personality that thrives under such positive pressure.  I  enjoy being social with your guests and family on the day, not just beacuse thats who I am , but because it builds trust in and the images I want to create. Photography is my North Star !

I use my considerable wedding expertise to help you plan the day, based on what you want photo coverage of and where this will take place. I factor in how much time we would need for each part of the day and then as an overall amount for the day ( inc travel between each location). This information helps calculate how much time we need to cover all this and forms the basis of the overall cost for Photography on your day. When we meet up in the run up to your Wedding day we do so at some of the loactions and together plan the specific locations, which saves time on your Wedding day.  I prepare a Photography timeline based on all of this and we use this as a basis to plan around for your Wedding day, thetimeline is flexible and can and very often does chnage in the lead up to your day with time tweaks here and there but generally speaking is a great frameowrk tro refer to one the day itself - also great for linking in with other Wedding suppliers such as the venue, celebrant and other providers on the day.

Absolutely not.

I shoot a wedding with a documentary style, which basically means I shoot what I see. There are some parts of teh day where I have absiolutely zero input such as the Ceremony and Reception, photographing events in front of me as they unfold...now my experience helps me position myslef in such a way to capture the greatest images but I have no influence over events.

The moring prep is pretty much the same I find that photographing events as they happen gives a truer picture of reality , I might style a wedding dress, flowers and shoes prior to teh bride getting ready but these are inanimate objects only. So really the only part of the entire Wedding day where I try and shape events in some way is the Bride and Groom photoshoot ( between Ceremony and Reception).

We will have together planned locations for the Bride and Groom portraits and I might ask you both to walk in a certain direction based on the background and where the Sun is etc, but this is in very simple ( non intrusive) way and I ask the Bride and Groom to interact with each other and not the Camera, clients oiften tell me afterwards they forgot I was even there.  I make some suggestions based on what I know will make a great photography but absolutely you have power of veto - an uncomfortable bride or groom makes for a terrible photograph. not what I create at all. !
