Hi!

As many others have said, it does depend on individual circustances and every bands rate charged in different, BUT as a guide:

If ONLY playing at the ceremony, then I would charge my clients a minimum of $400 per player.

If ALSO playing at the reception, then the add on charge for ceremony would be minimum $150 per player.

Hope that helped :)

There are many factors that come into play:

  • How long you want them to play
  • the skill of the musician
  • the genre and style
  • and location

In terms of highland bagpipers (my specialty) we typically work in short blocks of time such as 15 or 30 mins to fit in with your ceremony. There are usually fixed rates for these time periods.

Hi

As ceremonies tend to start 30 minutes or so before the Bride enters then for another 45 minutes to an hour thereafter, a cost between 400 and 750 is probably the norm.  For this I would play all songs as requested by the bride and groom for pre bridal / guest arrival, Bride entrance, 2 x signing songs, celebration song, exit songs etc.  This is also dependent on venue and travel time

It depends who is playing or singing and what you can afford.  From my expereince church or garden ceremonies can range from $500 to $1500.   I think you can talk about your budjet with the performer and see how they can match it and if they will.    Check out my offering.

Hi Bride,

As the previous comments suggest, it depends on a few factors.

For a good Solo acoustic guitarist, you're looking at between $500-$700 (there abouts)

It goes up from there for more players obviously, but most will learn a song or two for the occasion and have a portable PA to play through.

As with everything in life, you get what you pay for :)

Cheers

There are many factors that influence the price of a Live Act for your Ceremony, including;

  • Location of your event
  • Specific gig requirement (power availability, set up etc)
  • Style of Musician
  • Number of Musicians
  • Length of performance

There are usually different options available for your Ceremony so most musicians can tailor a package that suits your needs and budget. These might include going with a String Trio rather than a Quartet, or picking an Acoustic Soloist instead of a Duo. We often provide a DJ to organise the Music and PA at the Ceremony and this can also be a less expensive option.

Dear Bride,

It really depends on what type of outfit you require. You may really like the look and feel of a string quartet which, will most likely be more expensive than a solo guitartist playing instrumental acoustic music. Most musicians would charge anywhere between $500 to $1000, however this is only an estimated guess as people do charge various prices for their services.

Hope tha helps.
