Do you have your own insurance?

Yes, SAVVY Entertainment holds insurance for public liability so if your venue requests for it feel free to send them our way and we will be happy to send them our 'certificate of currency' of cover up to $20 million AUD.

Can our videographer record all the sound and speeches from you?

Yes! When booking our DJs or live musicians we can give access to videographers to record all the sound, music and speeches from your wedding. We are more than happy to liaise directly with videographers so your video will look and sound amazing!

What time will you arrive at the ceremony/reception?

All our staff assigned to your wedding will arrive at least 3hours before the start of the booking as long as the venue permits us to. Although we only need 1 hour to setup this allows us to ensure everything is working before showtime! Being prepared and early is very important to the SAVVY Team so we can help create a 'stress-free' wedding day!

Can you play outdoors?

Yes we can play outdoors ideally under shelter/cover to protect our equipment from hot sun and rain. We also have a battery powered Bose S1 pro sound system that is sufficient for outdoor music or ceremony's in areas where you don't have access to direct power. You just have to confirm the number of guests and we can cater for them with the right sound system.

Professional DJ: Up to 5hrs professional DJ with at least 10-years industry experience.

Will we be able to meet the DJ, MC or musicians face to face?

Yes of course! We feel that it's essential that you meet our friendly team so we can get to know you better and deliver a service that is more personal and represents YOU!

Are we allowed to submit a song request list?

Most definately!

We actually encourage you to give us an idea of the music you love (specific songs, artists, genres, etc) as well as a "do-not playlist" so we can work with you to ensure we get the music just right for wedding and get your guests in the right mood to party!

Will we receive a contract for our entertainment booking?

Yes!

When it comes to weddings we believe that our couples should be taken care of. A contract outlining the particulars that SAVVY Entertainment will provide will be clearly stated and ensure you are comfortable knowing that a professional company has a 'duty of care' towards their wedding couples. This protects both parties and so it's an absolute must when booking a wedding supplier for your special day.

PhotoBooths! - Do we get to have input in the design of our artwork and prints?

Absolutely!

We have a talented team of graphics designers who will custom an artwork that will compliment and match your wedding theme. If you want to send through a specific font, logo or you just have an idea, our team would love to hear about it so we can help create it!

DJ Savvy and the team helped bring our celebration to life! From the photo booth to sound and audio at our ceremony and then the music selections for the dance floor, everything was perfect and was always the right tempo and vibe at the right time. The dance floor was packed and everyone had so much fun with the Photo Booth, our guests loved it! They were so professional, creative and hard working! We had the best time and so much fun celebrating and it couldn’t have happened without Chris and the Savvy team. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Chris is such an easy going person, he was so easily to deal with. Chris was perfect. He used a spotify playlist I had sent him to gauge my music taste. He incorporated some of our favourite songs throughout the night but also kept everyone dancing. We also had a photobooth included with his services which was an absolute hit.

Which goes first, the first dance or Father/Daughter dance? Thanks!

Great question!

we believe you can do it however you wish but in regards to flow of the night we have found the father and daughter dance first then it's like passing the bride to the groom there is an amazing moment shared that leads to the bridal waltz/first dance. Flow of your night and the experience you want to create is to be kept in mind when preparing your runsheet and program. From our own wedding last year we felt this was a great sequence. All the best exciting time and glad your considering the father/daughter dance it's amazing.

Hi Oliver, Congratulations! Yes you can have a DJ & Band combination as I'm a DJ but also work directly with a band and in fact had the same setup for my own wedding last June 2016. What style of music were you both after? Hi Lucy, Congratulations and I hope the planning is going well.

My opinion is first to list songs and genres you both like and dislike as it will give musician/DJ a greater understanding of the type of wedding atmosphere you want to create. Some brides and grooms may even ask their guests to send them a few requests and list them on a spreadsheet. You then can go through it and add/delete before you send through to the musician/DJ. Personally our DJs take requests according to the guidelines outlined during the face to face consultation with the bride and groom.
