Congratulations on your engagement and thank you for enquiring about my services. My name is Liam, I’m a romantic at heart and my laid-back acoustic music is ideal for pre-ceremony, Bridal Entrance, Recessional, Signing, cocktail hour, and receptions. I offer both live performances and DJ sets to cater for all your wedding music needs. Allow me to cater specific entertainment to your wedding, and really set your hearts on fire.

I am known for my heartfelt soulful vocal performances, which I have developed over my 15 years of experience as a solo performer. Audiences have often compared me to Jeff Buckley, Coldplay, and Crowded House.

I enjoy performing relaxed love themed songs at wedding ceremonies, cocktail hour, and wedding receptions, with a mix of acoustic guitar and electric guitar, accompanied by some subtle foot percussion instruments. Nothing too over-the-top, with the goal of setting a relaxed and intimate atmosphere to accompany the socialising and celebration of your wedding day.

Performing music at weddings is something I enjoy a great deal. I will work with you in planning consultations to help cater the entertainment to your wedding day. I am more than happy to be involved in DIY weddings, hinterland weddings, beach weddings, and rustic weddings. And if there is a special song to you, I can prepare a unique arrangement for you.

Backed by a 15+ year career as a performer & songwriter, and an extensive education in music production techniques, I am now offering wedding DJ services for wedding receptions.

On offer are DJ sets to cater for a multitude of tastes and event stylings. Rather than booking a live band, which takes up significant floor space, not to mention the cost of paying up to 10 musicians and their required production, I offer a cost-effective alternative without compromise on the quality of music. I have a background as a live performer, and as such, I know what an audience wants at events. I deliver this with my vast music library of songs, and the simple yet powerful technology of a DJ console.

I’m available for events on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. Other locations are possible subject to agreement on travel costs.

FAQ

Can we choose the songs in the setlist?

Yes, I would welcome your input into choosing the songs I play at your wedding. I usually learn 2 or 3 songs for each wedding (if I don't know them already). I have given alot of attention to developing a setlist of songs that I know are great for weddings, from Ed Sheeran to The Beatles. Once we have confirmed the booking, we will discuss in detail what songs you would like me to play.

How long will you perform for?

I'm usually booked to play 2 to 3 hours at a wedding. In that time, I will take a few short breaks to refresh my voice with water. Once your booking is confirmed we will discuss the schedule in detail to work around the ceremony and speeches.

Will you travel outside of your specified areas?

My specified areas for bookings are Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast. If you would like me to travel outside of those areas I can (like Byron Bay, Toowoomba, Gympie), though I will add a bit extra to the fee for travel time & cost. If flights are needed, that cost is yours, plus accommodation if required, and a per diem charge of $400.

Can you play at an outdoor ceremony?

I definitely can, and I have done in the past. My speaker can be powered by batteries, meaning I can play almost anywhere. I've played on beaches, in parks, and golf clubs.

Do we need to supply any equipment?

No, I have a sound system that is adequate for most reception venues. All I need is a space of about 3m x 3m.

Live music was a priority for us as we wanted a relaxed, romantic feeling for our wedding. Liam was so amazing and he really helped make our dream wedding a reality. First of all.. his voice is amazing! He learnt songs that were very special to us and he just had everyone in awe of his talents. With each song he sang, we couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces! He has started to DJ as well and had so many people up dancing and laughing. What a way to end the night! Thank you Liam for bringing our vision to life and for being so awesome to work with!

I've played a few Bridal entrances. It's all down to personal preference of course. I've played "This Old Love" by Lior, "Make You Feel My Love" by Adele (Bob Dylan wrote it), and "Everlong" by Foo Fighters.

What are good songs for a wedding?

My dad and his fiance are about to get married this summer and I’m in charge of selecting songs for the whole day. The only song set I’m missing are the songs to be played during the ceremony itself. I was thinking of playing the song my dad’s fiance sang during the first time they met in an international dating social event. But I was thinking of using it for their first dance together. Another option was using the first song they sang together during karaoke night the day she first met our family. What do you guys think? Any suggestions?
