Yes, on request I can provide you with a battery-powered speaker and a wireless microphone, suitable for speech-making only. That would be an additional item available for hire from me. If you would like to add this item to your booking, please let me know and I can arrange this for you.
I supply my own PA (or Production) suitable for the number of guests you are expecting. Generally this is included in my performance fee if you’re expecting less than 150 guests. I can also supply my own Battery-powered speaker suitable for a Ceremony or Canapes performance at a remote location. If your event is larger than 150 guests, additional Production Hire fees may apply. Please ask me at the time of booking if you’re expecting more than 150 guests and if a Production Fee applies.
I call this ‘inclement weather’. It’s important to know that any weather conditions such as wet weather or extreme heat, may not make it possible for me to perform. my instruments may not be able to sustain extreme temperatures, or any water whatsoever. This is particularly the case for a string instrument such as a guitar, which would be easily destroyed if it came in contact with water. A guitar, which would not hold its tune in extreme sunlight. But hey, if you have a backup plan for unforeseen weather conditions, then you don’t need to worry about any of this ??
100% it is a good idea. You get a free meet and greet with me prior to your event. I look after all the small stuff, like planning song choices, helping to plan your runsheet, and anything else I can do to assist you. Of course, once I have all the info I need, I provide the you with a full briefing, ahead of your wedding day. This is to ensure that I have every detail covered, and so I can simply focus on doing what I do best – performing brilliantly for you on your wedding day! Video calls are a good way to break the ice.
I'm here to help you choose songs that best suit you and that I know and perform really well. Coming up with these is a combination of talent from my side, personal choices from yours, and plenty of good bits in the middle to make the magic! If you don’t have any idea what songs you want, that’s OK! I can send you a list that I know and can perform really well and sound amazing. If you prefer the original version by the artist, I can play the track through my state of the art PA. Just ask ??
If your wedding date is more than 30 days away, I provide a free booking service to secure the date. The balance is not then due until one week prior to the day. If your wedding date is very soon (within 30 days) the full balance of your booking is still always payable 7 days prior.
The main provisions required are access to power and enough space for me to perform in.
This will depend on the length of the booking and the time of day you have me booked for. If you’re hiring me as a singer for a wedding ceremony, then probably not. If you’re having me play for the evening, then I'll will probably ask if I can be provided with food and drink. This always puts a spring in my steps and will ensure you get an energetic performance from me!
I am pleased to offer 3 hours of live music for your evening event, typically consisting of three 40-minute sets, tailored to your needs. Additionally, I can provide a DJ service after the live music for an extra fee, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for your guests.
It has its benefits obviously, but isn’t a deal breaker.
High quality and well-presented promo material, a strong social media presence and a good number of song choices in my repertoire list. For a list of songs reach out and I'll send you the ones I perform the best.
Yes indeed. As mentioned previously I provide a DJ service, and Emcee. I'm also able to provide acoustic sets up for background music during the ceremony or drinks reception if I know the songs well enough. Or if it's better for you I can provide the original audio streamed to the state if the art sound system that I will provide on your special day.
Again this depends on the length of the booking. If you’re booking me for 2 hours, I'll probably play 2 x 45 min sets with a 20 min break in the middle. If it's for three sets then it's 3x45 minute sets with breaks.. Then we can DJ all night long if you choose that option.
Normally a party playlist through my PA system. Sometimes people are happy to plug in or bluetooth their phone or iPad if they’d like to create their own playlist for in between the sets. Generally people like the latest hits played from Spotify or iTunes. I can play any genre tailored to your tastes after all it's not about me it's all about you.
I will generally only MC during the parts of the evening where I'm not performing, for example corralling everyone towards where the first dance or cake cutting is happening. I can summon the best man to give speech and the groomsman to read telegrams etc. all in line with your timeline as discussed previously to you special day.
Absolutely, I can do, and I'm usually happy to play them if I know them. However be aware that a drunken guest trying to shout ‘Can you play Sweet Caroline’ into the my ear whilst I'm playing a different song can be rather…..um….distracting!
Yes of course. I actually advise this. As I have a very long list of songs to choose from, it’s better to give you as much choice as possible to form my sets with.
Yes I provide a quote on request and then provide an invoice sent via email due 7 days prior to the event.
If you’re booking 12 months before the date, you should have LOTS of choice. The nearer you get, the smaller the amount of choice you’ll have basically. However I will work my magic no matter what.
I have Public Liability Insurance through MEEA and that is often a requirement of the venue, I can provide you with the policy details on request no problem.
It’s up to the client really! I am usually pretty flexible and enjoy getting dressed up!
I'm not in industry to get drunk and party at all my gigs. It’s my job! I may have a beer or two, but I won't be getting hammered! I'm not a smoker.
