The Lonely Weekenders

We had The Lonely Weekenders play for our wedding at the ceremony, canapes period and then in our reception. They performed as an amazing duo for the first to items before hitting out in a 5-piece (guitar, drums, bass, sax, keyboard and vocals) for our ceremony. Throughout our entire interaction of enquiring about services, to arranging for specific requests, non-set periods of play, and everything in between, Jenni and Gaz were amazing to work with. I spent a week at work listening to every wedding band under the sun, but when we heard their music on their website I knew that they were something special. It was not hard to convince my wife that this was the band for us. We are both very picky with music so when we made our list, there was just one band that stood out. This was confirmed when we heard them live in St Kilda with our dog, and introduced ourselves. They were incredibly friendly, excited and just knew how to pull a crowd. They sounded unbelievable and it was one of the simplest decisions for us to lock them in to perform. Jenni and Gaz were amazing as a duo throughout our reception and canapes providing the right vibe to fill the room. When the time came for our reception, they were absolutely phenomenal. They were able to easily incorporate our requests (including a traditional hora with special contribution and enthusiasm from Max the Sax God) and make sure everyone had a good time. Throughout the night they played hits and made sure that all genres and song requests were covered. They have an amazing and extensive set list (beyond what they list) to ensure there is something for everyone. Often they sound even better than the original production! We had so many complements about our band and we have to say that if you do not hire The Lonely Weekenders, you are doing yourself a disservice. Easily the best wedding band out there. You will have no regrets about having Jenni and Gaz (along with Lani on Bass, Adam on Drums and Max on Sax should you want to go all out). We cannot recommend The Lonely Weekenders more highly, they were at least 12/10. We are so very grateful for their service and being part of our special day, Gabrielle and Michael

We couldn’t be happier that we went down the live music route for our wedding day! The Lonely Weekenders blew us away from start to finish. Ceremony was everything we hoped for—thank you for timing the aisle so perfectly… and the dance floor was our favorite part of the night. So much fun!!

We recently had the pleasure of booking The Lonely Weekenders for our special day, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. From the moment you kicked off the first song to the final song, you had everyone on their feet and grooving. Your energy was electric, and you made sure the dance floor was never empty. We've had so many guests tell us how awesome you were and how much fun they had. Just wanted to say a massive thank you for rocking our wedding.

We had The Lonely Weekenders play at our wedding and they were amazing! A fantastic selection of songs, very flexible and easy to work with, and had the dance floor pumping all night. The following day all our friends and family were complimenting the band and asking how we found them. Jenni and Gaz are super friendly and made the whole process smooth and stress free, and adapted their timings to our schedule. They even learnt a duet for our first dance at our request! <3 Could not recommend The Lonely Weekenders more highly! So much fun!!

We can't thank The Lonely Weekenders enough for making our wedding so incredible! We were lucky enough to have them perform as an acoustic duo for our ceremony and as a 4-piece band for our reception. As soon as we saw their set list and a few little previews of them performing, we knew we couldn't go wrong. We were simply blown away by how wonderful they were - from seamlessly coordinating with the venue, to learning custom songs, perfectly matching (and bringing) the energy throughout the night and creating the most amazing dance floor. It was easily our most favourite part of the night - and even a few months on our family and friends are still telling us about how much they loved the band! We especially loved how their set list is so unique (not a typical wedding song in sight!) and how Jen and Gary interacted with our guests, even taking on requests. You can't beat live music for a wedding, and you simply can't beat The Lonely Weekenders. Such a talented group and truly the best there is - we wish we could go back and relive it all!
