Hi there. There are some songs I really don't want played at our wedding but I know some of my family will request it. Can I give our DJ a list of these songs - but how do they handle it with the guests? I don't want to offend anyone.

I get this question all the time ...we send out a Do play and do Not playlist with the booking info on each Wedding Reception..as Guests request songs they are filtered for any negative language or non-approporate lyrics in saying that we do have Radio friendly version on some songs that carry bad language or racist slurs, we want to avoid this, it's handled with care when conversing with guests and the favorite song they "must" hear on the night!
We go into action finding an alternative song that is not on the DO NOT PLAY LIST with apologizing along the way for not having every song and I must follow the structure of the Wedding Reception this works well for us.
What's the best way to choose my wedding music?
