Yes, absolutely! 

We have over 60,000 tracks in our music database covering all popular genres, from the 40's to current Top 40 and everything in between. 

You have the choice of selecitng as much or as little music from our database as you like - otherwise leave it to us and we'll read the crowd and ensure all their favourites are played.

We sure do offer MC services. A number of our DJs are also professionally trained MC's and can perform this function on the night (in addition to DJ services). Please just let us know when you enquire, and we can quote accordingly.

All our DJs have a minimum of 5 years experience in the industry and some boast up to 10 and 15 years experience. You can rest assured that our DJs are professional and have a lot of experience DJ'ing for weddings.

We treat each function very individually and we are happy to assist clients with their music selection and guide them through the process. DJ hire is such an important aspect of the evening as a good DJ and music is critical to a successful wedding! Russell was a fantastic DJ/MC! He coordinated everything to run incredibly smoothly on the night, and got everyone up and dancing. So many guests told us how fantastic they thought he was! He has such a friendly and warm personality and made the reception a fantastic night. Would highly recommend Russell!

Impressions DJ's were so easy to work with leading up to our big day! They provided templates for all our song requirements and worked with us on getting our songs just right for our first dance. Russell was an absolute legend on the day, worked really well with the venue, our celebrant, and the MC. When our lists of required songs were exhausted he played songs that were totally on-theme for our requests for the background music at the reception and then banger after banger on the dance-floor. He welcomed every song request we gave him on the fly and was overall a fantastic person to have there!!! 12 out of 10

I highly recommend Impression DJs - they did an incredible job for our wedding! Russell was amazing. He was really positive and easy to work with - very fun DJ!! We had Russel as our wedding DJ and had an amazing night as a result. They have a very extensive and excellent song list to choose from to suit any occasion & with only a little guidance on our part, he was able to create a fantastic atmosphere during the reception and a truly rocking dance floor for the rest of the night. Russel was very professional and fun, took the night to a 10/10.

is it wrong to play sad songs at weddings? or songs about break ups

some of my favourite songs are about break ups!

Impression DJs

It depends what part of the night you are referring to, if it is just for general music like dinner or dancing then it doesn't matter however for your important songs like your Bridal Dance or Walking Down the Aisle then we find that the words and feeling do matter. Normally we only listen to melodies until we get married then we look closer at the words of a song.

how do i start the dancing at my wedding if im not having a first dance?

Impression DJs

It depends if you want a slow dance or not, either way it's best for your MC to invite all the guests to join you both on the dance floor for the first song, that way you will have a full dance floor from the start. You can then pick either a slow dance song or an upbeat track but if you pick something upbeat i suggest you pick something that is accessable to all the guests young and older.
