With a hand-picked selection of stand out musicians, DJs and DJ/Sax's to choose from, you are able to customise the exact sound you would love for the soundtrack to your Big Day. Our experienced, friendly and caring Bookings Manager, Carly, will assist you in finding the perfect fit and whether you love the sound of an all-live band, or prefer a DJ or DJ/Sax, or perhaps you'd like a mix of a few different musical elements, our versatile bookings structure means we are able to fully personalise a package for you. We exclusively choose to present Artists who are equal parts experienced in a wide range of genres and styles, and consummate professionals, so with Redtie on your Wedding team, you needn't worry about a thing when it comes to your music. Different kinds of music we offer

For an intimate and sophisticated ambience during pre-dinner canapés and cocktails, you may opt for one of Redtie Entertainment’s beautiful classical string trios or quartets. Popular options for this time also include acoustic soloists and jazz ensembles, featuring the smooth sounds of a saxophone. Moving through dinner, our most popular option is an acoustic band to play laid-back, atmospheric music as you and your guests enjoy your meal. And for later in the night, our 3 most-booked elements are: a live band (up to an 8 piece), DJ or DJ/Sax. We have a number of our elite musical Artists who are also professional DJ's which means we are able to offer the best of both worlds to our couples who would like this. Our bands and DJ's are highly experienced in performing everything from the latest pop songs, classic hits, chilled cocktail music, high-energy rock music, soul tunes, and Motown classics meaning every ensemble is sure to ramp things up to get the party started.

How long will the band from Redtie play for?

A commonly booked Reception package consists of up to 4 x 45 minute sets over a five-hour period. This works perfectly for most Weddings, however, additional time/sets can be arranged in a customised package for you if required.

As we all know, each and every Wedding is as unique as you! So we are passionate about offering you the flexibility to fully customise an entertainment package that will perfectly suit your special day! Our most popular packages for Weddings of approximately 80 people, are our Redtie 5-piece bands, DJs and DJ/Saxs.


Of course, our experienced Bookings Manager, Carly, will be able to assist in tailoring your band to make sure we engage Artists who can play the style of music you both like. Our extensive services range from solo acoustic Artists, all the way up to show-stopping 9 piece reception bands, with options for Ceremony and Canapés as well. Please feel most wecome to contact Carly because we will have the perfect setup just for you! 

Our Entertainment menu is comprehensive, and the best part is that you are able to package everything we offer into a simple, convenient and cost-effective bundle to make things easy and stress-free.


We can offer light up letters, photo booths, MCs, Celebrants and other performances such as fire twirlers, stunning Champagne and canapes serving options, as well as much more. Please ask Carly about these ways we can streamline your wider Wedding journey even more with an all-inclusive package. 

Basically, as long as you need because every Wedding is different and we will customise your booking to perfectly reflect your unique day. As a guide, though, one of our more commonly-booked reception band packages includes up to 4 x 45min sets over a 5 hour period. We find this timing works well for many Weddings, and as mentioned, additional time and sets can easily be included in your booking if required. Carly will work closely with your timetable to ensure we cover all the moments you will need us. 

We are always thinking of our treasured clients and so once you’ve decided you'd like to book Redtie for your Big Day, we will send you an invoice for a 20% deposit which can be paid via eft transfer/direct deposit. And then we're locked in for you!

Highly recommended wedding band! My wife and I had a 5 piece led by Dave and Row (female vocalist) and they were absolutely fantastic! All of our guests had such great memories on the dance floor and complimented the musicians. We couldn’t have chosen a better band to create the fun atmosphere that we wanted. They were so professional and just beautiful people. The planners Shona and Amy were also very helpful and communicative in making sure we got exactly what we wanted!

We had Alicia and Dave from Redtie come and sing live for ceremony/canapés then djing for our reception at our wedding. Which goes first, the first dance or Father/Daughter dance? Thanks!

From my experince playing at 100's of wedding I feel the best order is for the Father and daughter dance to go first then the First dance. 

Quiet often half way through the first dance the rest fo the guests are invited to join the couple on the dance floor, if you choose an upbeat party song as the song to be played after the first dance you already have everyone up and it make the night flow really well.

Great to hear from you, Yes there certainly is. We can have a band cover the first part of the evening and have a Dj do the last part of night and the band breaks

This would mean the band would play for 40mins then the Dj would perform for 40mins
