OVERVIEW
As a Sunshine Coast, based wedding reception and ceremony music specialist Greg has played hundreds of receptions big and small from Noosa to Brisbane for over a decade.
Offering an acoustic duo to a full four to six piece band plus the option of a DJ we can provide all professional sound and lighting equipment and wonderful live or playlisted music. Our aim is to set the perfect atmosphere for your wedding. Imagine your favourite song played acoustically at your ceremony and the warm tones of an acoustic set played to start the night and wrap around meals and speeches. Then either a full band or DJ of great songs for a fun dancing set.
All our songs are selected with your taste in mind - from a solo acoustic to a full band we can do it all! Your music will always be warm, inclusive and appropriate whether it is laid back or for dancing later in the evening we will get it right for you.

FAQ
Yes absolutely some people prefer an acoustic duo or trio early through meals and around speeches and then ramp it up with DJ of retro, new songs and requests till the end of the night. Other people want a full band sound to finish the night and so we provide DJ playlists early and in breaks. What we do is work with your timeline and budget to give you the music you want when you want it.
We are happy to provide basic MCing through the evening but we do reccomend that you have an MC that knows you and your guests if you can, especially around the speeches.
Yes we can and we are happy to bundle them togeather to save you money.

Get Expert AdviceHow many people usually give speeches at the wedding reception?
Is it usually a long time without music? Half an hour or so? We were thinking, Bride, Father of bride, father of groom, best man. Thoughts?
Greg Doney Music
both fathers, and mothers if they wish, best man, maid of honour, bride and groom and then open it up to anyone wanting to say something.
It's a good idea to do speeches after mains so that people haven't drunk too much. half an hour is usually a good time frame. Make sure the venue has a good cordless mic system or the band is providing one, there's nothing worse than speeches that are hard to hear.
Do musicians charge by the hour?
I am thinking of booking a singer to sing our entrance song only and wondering musicians charge by the hour?I already have a pianist and violinist and feel I would like it if a musician would also play the song.I am based in Adelaide for a winter wedding.
Greg Doney Music
you will get charged a minimum time or fee, I do this for ceremonies where I sing 2-8 songs but quote for an hour call as it still costs me the same to get there and get home and set up equipment as a longer gig.
if i go with a dj company how can i guarantee the dj i get is going to be any good?

Talk to the person they are recommending for you, go over song lists and equipment, ask them questions and let them ask questions of you, the more they know about you the better they will be able to give you what you want musically.
