We hired a DJ and MC from G&M and they did a great job. Brian made sure the night ran smoothly and we didn't have to worry about anything on the night. We also had dry ice for our first dance and it was perfect. Highly recommend!

What are the benefits of hiring a band or DJ over DIY music?

It looks like this has been answered in great detail already, but my advice is to ask your venue. No doubt they have seen DIY music Vs a DJ Vs a Band. Ask them if people dance more to one or the other. What's important to you for your wedding celebration? If you want a great atmosphere with people dancing and having fun, invest in a fantastic DJ or Band. Meet with some of them, talk about what you want, get them to show you video footage of what they do and then you'll make the most informed decision.

Hiiii! I really want a dj while my partner wants a band. is there a way to do both?

What are some songs that will get the dance floor moving?

I'm putting together my wedding playlist and wondered if you had some suggestions for songs that will get everybody up and dancing?

With so many people being exposed to so much music, it's harder than ever to keep everyone happy. I love that you're thinking of everyone else attending your wedding. That in itself will help you a lot. Work with your DJ/Band when creating a guideline of music. If you've hired a professional, give them a guide as to what you want and give them some creative freedom with that. Be sure that your wedding celebration has your own style worked into it as well. Another thing to keep in mind is that your guests will gravitate to wherever you are on the night. If you're dancing, they will dance. If you're sitting, they will sit and chat. If you're outside the room, they will wonder what's going on. Most of all, if you're having fun, it's highly likely that they will all be having fun. There are many top 200 lists for wedding party songs online and if all else fails, trust int he professional DJ/Band you've hired.
