OVERVIEW
Making your wedding ceremony memorable rests upon the quality of your venue, the experienced celebrant, the wonderful aesthetics and surroundings to make it perfect. However couples may leave the music for their ceremony to the last minute, or choose average quality singers or musicians because they may not know where to begin in the search for perfect ceremony music. The skilled Wedding Singer is the atmosphere bearer and ties every part of the ceremony together seamlessly. Ambience is the mood setter and this is largely done by the music of your ceremony.
For this reason it is best to not leave the music and singing to just anyone. A Wedding Singer is able to express themselves both vocally and emotively, and yet sing it professionally. This is especially true for the traditional, elegant wedding setting where the atmosphere is very important.
Wedding Ceremony Singer, Michelle Francis Cook's operatic journey spanning Italy and Spain infuses her performances with a unique allure. With an illustrious career alongside opera luminaries like Placido Domingo and Jose Cura, Michelle brings a world-class singing prowess to your wedding day. She has only launched her wedding ceremony music franchise in Melbourne, having returned in 2019.
She offers a diverse repertoire ranging from classical masterpieces to culturally rich compositions in languages such as English, Italian, Spanish, German, Latin, Russian, and French. Michelle's warmth, multilingual capabilities, and willingness to tailor her performance to your preferences make her an exceptional choice for discerning couples.
Not only will she perform her beautiful songs for your day, she is also able to organise the musicians to accompany her, including a variety of musicians and also singers for duets or ensembles. Hence, with her help, a unique program to your satisfaction.
Whether it be a Chapel or Cathedral, Civil or Religious, indoor or outdoor wedding ceremony, Michelle has had the experience to sing in all types of venues.

FAQ
As your Wedding Ceremony Vocalist, I can off you the following services:
I have been singing wedding ceremonies for over almost 25 years. These include very formal church weddings, all kinds of outdoor weddings, even a wedding in a heritage train carriage. All were very individual, special and I was able to create an ambience which suited the surroundings.
I have worked from 2005 - 2019 in Europe, primarily Barcelona, Spain where I sung many weddings and other ceremonies, events and opera. Upon my return to Australia just before covid, I began MFC business.
Yes.
Many of the packages can be modified to suit your own circumstances. We will discuss who this works in our meetings together and create a package which fits.
I have quite a vast list of classical and contemporary songs to choose. For the sake of space, I have added the top 10 most popular. I do have a Repertoire list which I will share with you upon request.
Certainly, with some conditions. These include:
1. In the case of backing track music, we will need to see if it is available.
2. I require a minimum of one month notice for new songs to be learned.
In all, I desire that you have a beautiful experience for your wedding ceremony which is very personal and special to you. For this reason, being able to learn a song which has meaning.
I highly recommend the accompanists I have worked with as I can guarantee they will deliver just as high a standard of performance as I do. Though if you have one which you prefer, it is also possible to arrange. We can discuss the logistics of this at our meetings.
I have been know in my performances to wear beautiful gowns. I have a philosophy that the performance in a ceremony not only includes the voice, but also the quality of the aesthetics and visual aspects. That said, I never take away from the centrepiece with is the beautiful wedding couple, but if you are looking for a high-end, formal wedding, I will provide the look to compliment it.
With regards to colour palate, for example, if your bridesmaids are in pink, I will also wear a gown in the pink colour palate. If Gold is your colour theme, I will wear a gold gown or an elegant black gown with a gold shawl or necklace. This concept will be discussed with you.
Generally speaking, a minum of 3 months is a good time frame in order to prepare your ceremony music as I have a number of weddings and events per week. Within this period of time, we will may have a couple of meetings to discuss all aspects of your program.
It's good to keep in mind that the earlier you book, even as early as a year before, the less chance of missing out on having another couple book me on the date you are getting married. This has unfortunately happened to me. The good news is once you have book and paid a deposit, your booking date is secured.
Changes to your selection are permitted, provided they are from the Repertory list and there is a minimum of one month notice. At the final month, the song choices are generally fixed.
Yes. I can be asked to sing a part of your ceremony and not all. Some couple opt for my to sing 3 songs and they may have another musician or track for other aspects of the ceremony. It is good to note that this does not change my fee as you pay for the performance time and the number of pieces I perform.
I most certainly can arrange another singer to sing a duet. These pieces are also in the Repertoire List. My colleague will be of the same standard and quality as myself, and depending on the song may be a female or male singer. Please inquire more if this interests you?
If you wish to have a full acoustic experience, full of aural elegance, finesse and aesthetically amazing, you cannot go wrong with my Quartet and Vocal ensemble. It is for the most elite weddings, providing unforgettable sensory encounter.
The minimum time is 4 months notice for booking. In many cases, the safest bet is to book 6 month in advance to secure your wedding date with both the String Quartet and myself. Don't leave this to chance if you are interested in the Platinum Package.
Once you've decided to book the Platinum Package, I will confirm my availability and that of the Quartet. The music program from the Quartet Repertory list will be chosen and the rehearsal process for your special event will commence. In our meetings there after, we will discuss the venue space, the logistics to have 4 string instruments and myself balanced in the acoustics of the space. I will help you in this process having sung in many types of spaces.
For further inquiries do not hesitate to ask.
Absolutely. I will guide you through the process step by step. After our initial consultation, if you decide to work with me, we will meet again and discuss your music style preferences, whether it be classical, contemporary or mixture of both. We will look at aspects such as your wedding style (religious, civil or other format of wedding); the type of guests you have (for example, culturally, the age groups) and we will discuss best music for the venue. With my years of experience I can help you select the perfect ceremony music program.
Many times your fiance and yourself may have differing tastes in music. We will seek to find a harmonious balance so both of you can enjoy the wedding music for your ceremony.
My vocal training began as a youth in Contemporary/Pop and Music Theatre. I have lived and breathed music including piano lessons from a very early age. My music styles are broad as a teacher of both contemporary and classical voice. In Europe, apart from my classical endeavors, I was also singing on radio and TV, including the singning competiition Levantate in Spain for contemporary singing. it was a competition for Parent/Child duets. We were national finalist. My daughter is also a composer of wedding and audio engineer.

The most important concept in choosing a song for the first dance is making the choice to suit yourselves a priority. Your wedding dance should reflect your own experience of love, be a song which is dear to your hearts, and reflects your style as a couple.
Another question to ask is: Is the song easy to dance to?

Dear Angelique and Andre. What a wonderful event see you both celebrate your union. It was great to be part of this moment and contribute with my songs. I saw a number of tears in the guests as I sung your favourite wedding aria Ave Maria. May you have a very happy life together xx
