Dangerfield! Acoustic Duo

Dangerfield! is an acoustic duo based in Adelaide playing music from the sixties to today, including artists like INXS, Matchbox 20, Pearl Jam, Cold Play, The Beatles, Jason Mraz and Van Morrison.

Dangerfield! is made up of Brett Monten, Rick Cannon and John Mulholland

Brett has been playing the Adelaide band scene for many years and started the duo with Rick early in 2007. Since the late 80's, Brett has played in blues, rock, covers and original bands around Adelaide. Brett's playing and singing style is reflective of his general manner, fairly easygoing with a touch of humour and a hint of a dark side. Think of a cross between Jack Johnson, Paul Kelly with some Nick Cave to keep it interesting.

Rick has a background in songwriting and brings his playing experiences from busking and playing in open mike nights. His love of the acoustic genre is always evident as he gels the sounds from his favourite influences to bring his own style of acoustic playing and vocals to interpret any cover song.

John, having grown up an army bratt, came upon Victor Harbor and decided to stay.  Spent decades commenting to the big smoke of Adelaide to play in various bands, famous duos and solo pokie gigs, but always returning to his quiet country seaside life, usually late at night! After touring with Brett for band PlanB in 2009, John added his impressive playing and singing skills to give the Duo greater flexibility in satisfying demand for their services.
