Hi Lucy,
A great way to personalise your wedding band is to hand make it yourselve in a make your own wedding ring workshop. You can make each others or make your own wedding ring in just one day. You don't need any experience and can make your ring from platinum, gold or sterling silver.
You can then take it even further by having your partners fingerprint laser engraved onto the inside or outside of a wedding band. Some couples are also choosing to have a secret diamond or other gemstone set on the inside of their ring. Traditional engraving of messages, wedding dates and each others name on the inside of the ring is also still very popular.

Good luck with your wedding planning.
Best wishes,

Engraving is one fine example of getting it customised
You can also write a message under the ring
The most common & simplest is generally having some engraving done on the inside of the band. This is fairly simple & not overly expensive, also fairly quick.
