We pride ourselves on our customer service and communication, because we understand how much there is to do when planning a wedding, and how stressful it can be when you don't hear back from a supplier! FAQ
It varies! Usually around 2-3 months before the wedding, but it can be earlier if people have to travel and especially if they will need to make accommodation arrangements.
Yes, in most cases we can print the guests’ names directly onto our invitations in a matching font. However, for double-thick cardstocks, the only way to personalise them is to use a calligrapher, otherwise keep them generic.
In most cases, yes, and this is typically where further information can be provided for the guests. The additional cost is less than having a separate information card, but we can do either.
Yes, we do this quite a lot! People can make fabulous designs using Canva or Etsy, and we can print them. The cost and speed of production, as well as the recommended cardstock, depends on the design. If you send us a pdf we will be able to judge this right away. Price depends on black/colour, single or double-sided printing. Envelopes are available separately, blank or printed.
If we are printing in-house, then yes, definitely. If you happen to get some declines and wish to invite a few more people, our minimum for a second run is just 4 and it is easy for us to personalise them (and to change the RSVP date!). Alternatively, you can order a few generically-worded invitations as spares with blank envelopes.
If your invitations are from our premium or luxury ranges, however, then it is not as easy or straightforward - we strongly encourage you to order at least 10 extra invitations, so that you will have the spares to hand. Because of the suppliers' set-up fees and minimum quantity requirements, especially for things like letterpress, foiling, etc, you should order a lot more than you think you'll need, right from the outset. They can always be keepsakes if they don't end up being used, but it is far better than not ordering enough.
No, this is done at a date closer to the wedding. You’ll only have a clearer idea of who’s attending once you have received all responses back from the guests.

Thanks so much for your review, Naomi! The inclusion of the hand-drawn flower made your stationery unique and was so pretty! We loved the result and are so glad you did too. Thanks also for mentioning that we worked with you (via email primarily) from interstate, so that others will know it's easy to do. We're happy that you chose Fine Invitations and that everything was just what you wanted.

Get Expert AdviceHow to deal with guests who don't RSVP on time
It's so frustrating having to chase up guests who haven't RSVPd. I didn't think it would be so hard. What approach is best (and quickest!) to get our guests to RSVP?
Fine Invitations
Agreed, it is very frustrating not to have that definite response, especially as the RSVP date gets closer!
However, do bear in mind that some people are just not aware how much their delayed reply affects the planning process, and they think it is just as easy to respond more personally. We have often heard stories of guests just wanting to say "Yes, of course we're coming - wouldn't miss it for the world!" over dinner, by text or on the phone. As long as you're keeping track, and if your friendship with these people is more important than receiving a formal response, I'd recommend talking to them, rather than sending a reminder email or written message. No matter how gently you phrase an email, it can still sound like a niggle! When you're on the phone with them, or talking face-to-face, you can keep it light-hearted and get your response right away. It'll usually be an enthusiastic "Yes!", followed by more talk about the general planning and excitement. It's more personal, friendlier - and (most importantly) you'll get a quick answer!
