We made our own invitations due to budget, but Kat and the ladies at Scrapbook Secrets Maddington gave us so much help and advise. We ended up getting a Guest Book made up by Kat and it was just beautiful and unique to us.

How can I get the table plan and place cards printed?

If you visit an invitation store, they can guide you through the process of creating placecards and organising a table plan. Do I say the "the marriage of Jane to Mark"?

On our wedding invitations?

Hi Jane,
I think the wording of "marriage of Jane to Mark" is not at personal as "marriage of Jane and Mark"; that being said, we probably print the most of "marrriage of Jane & Mark". We still think that it's nice to observe the protocol of the lady's name before the man's name, until the marriage is complete; then you will see it noted as Mr and Mrs.

What date do I put the rsvp date as for my guests?

I think my venue needs final numbers 2 weeks before. So maybe 3 weeks before?

Hi Danielle,

The dates for RVSP vary according to venue and location. We suggest 6-8 weeks out from date, to allow venue confirmation (usually 2 wks prior) and for a 'resend'. You can do this if some guests have responded as a "can't come", then allowing for further guests to be invited instead. The longer time between rsvp and date of wedding allows you to chase up any 'non-replies' in sufficient time. It also allows time to print placecards (and make them if needed) and order anything else required for the reception event.
