We loved the design options with Paper & Ink Studio and their reasonable prices were also a positive. Communication was fast and friendly, we were given multiple opportunities to make changes and really happy with the final finished product. The free magnets and stickers with our initials for our invites were a nice touch too. Would definitely recommend!

Apart from the invite itself what else goes in the envelope?

Hi! I'd love a list of everything that I'd need to include in the envelopes to my guests; not just the actual paper invite. Do people still send RSVP cards? Do guests actually send them back?

Paper & Ink Studio

Hi there!

It's always great to be thorough with your invitations.

Along with the invite, you can include RSVP cards, accommodation and direction cards, and any other important information like dress code or gift registry details.

RSVP cards are still commonly used, but I would take a look at your guests first. If you feel they wouldn’t send a RSVP card back, then set up a specific email address to handle RSVP’s or use one point of contact only as a phone or text. If you are supplying a post back RSVP, make sure it has a postage stamp on it and your return address to post to.

Want to go more tech with your wedding? Then you can also use a website to hold all this extra info and included a website address or a QR code on your invite that directs them to RSVP online and find the other information about your wedding.

If you like this idea of a QR code or website, I would pop this on a separate card, it can look a bit ugly on the front of your beautiful wedding invite.

Hope this helps you with your wedding planning!

How many months between the save the dates and the actual invites?

Is there a best practice for how early to get save the dates out or how long between the save the date and the actual invites?

Paper & Ink Studio

Hey Bride to be!

Let's give you some help with this question.

Save the dates - post out 8-12 months or earlier than your wedding date. Make sure to include any accomodation, travel details for your guests with your Save the dates. That is when they need those details, to start planning and booking to attend your wedding.

Wedding Invites - Post out 4-6 months before your wedding date.

RSVP - are 1-2 months before your wedding date.

If you are now at the 6-7 months mark before your wedding date, I suggest to save some $$$ and skip the Save the dates and go straight to sending out your beautiful  wedding invites.

Reach out if you have more quesitons, we all love to help you!

Could we include a social media ban/unplugged ceremony request in our wedding invitations?

Hi there. Wondering how to delicately make the request for an 'unplugged' wedding and that our photos not be shared on social until we have. Would it be usual to put this in our wedding invitations?

Paper & Ink Studio

Yes you can, it is your wedding and you can ask your guests to respect not put your wedding on social media.

Putting it on the invite is not the best place, as we have seen that guests just don't remember on the day, that this is important to you.
I would suggest having a sign at your wedding ceremony, as they enter the space or putting it on your ceremony programs. Also ask your celebrant to mention at the beginning of the ceremony.

At your reception, if you still want a social media ban, ask the MC to remind your guests again.
You could also remind them on their menus or placecards.

Hope this helps and Happy Wedding Planning!
