Yes, we do. We recommend emailing us at hello@thedesignbar.com.au with your request and we will organise a time for a consultation to see if we are the perfect match.

We recommend that you order your stationery in the following time frames. 

SAVE THE DATES

We suggest ordering your Save the Dates straight after you have secured your date and booked your venues.

INVITATION SUITE

Your Invitations including all enclosure cards should be sent to your guests at least 3-4 months prior to your wedding or event. It allows enough time for guests to RSVP.

ON THE DAY

On the day stationery can be finalised once your RSVP date has passed and you have your guestlist is confirmed.

This stationery can include your menus, place cards, seating chart, etc. 

We suggest ordering all of your on the day stationery at least 6 weeks prior to your event.

THANK-YOU CARDS

We recommend sending your thank-you cards within one month after your event. 

From your order being sent to print we allow 2-3 weeks.

Please note that some print methods like foiling and letterpress can take longer in which case we allow 3-4 weeks.

We recommend create a guestlist to determine how many invites you will require.

You will need approximately two thirds of your guestlist, and we recommend ordering at least 10 extra invitations suites than your final decided amount.

Our standard print is digital print, and we can print any colour you require onto a textured cardstock.

We also offer die-cutting, foiling, letterpress and white ink features.

Yes, we ship Australia wide.

We do ship internationally. Delivery times can vary depending on the Country we are shipping your items to.

We’re over 60. Do we need to invite all aunts and uncles of deceased parents even if we’re not close?

I am very close to my 90-year-old aunt, who was my late uncle's wife and want to invite her to our small wedding dinner/reception. I have three other aunts and one uncle, all in their 90s, who live over an hour away. Would it be rude not to invite them all, even if we’re not that close? If so, will I need to add a plus one (or two for spouses) since they don’t drive and would need a ride?

When it comes to wedding guest lists, it's important to consider various factors, including family dynamics, personal relationships, and practical considerations. While there are no strict rules dictating whom you must invite, etiquette suggests that it is thoughtful to extend invitations to close family members, especially if you have a good relationship with them.

Given that you are very close to your 90-year-old aunt, who was your late uncle's wife, it would be considerate to invite her to your small wedding dinner/reception. As for your other aunts and uncle who live over an hour away and with whom you may not be as close, it is ultimately up to you to decide whether to extend invitations.

If you feel it would be meaningful to include them, you could consider inviting them as well. Regarding the plus ones for spouses who may require transportation, you can make arrangements to provide transportation for them to ensure their attendance.

Apart from the invite itself what else goes in the envelope?

Hi! I'd love a list of everything that I'd need to include in the envelopes to my guests; not just the actual paper invite. Do people still send RSVP cards? Do guests actually send them back?

In addition to the main invitation and RSVP, you may also want to consider including a separate card called "Finer Details" or "Details Card" that can provide additional information such as the location, dress code, parking information, and any other important details that your guests need to know.

Other items that you might want to include in your invitation envelope could be an accommodation card for out-of-town guests or a map or directions card.

As for whether guests still send back RSVP cards, it really depends on the individual couple and their preferences. Some couples still prefer the traditional RSVP card method, while others opt for online RSVPs. However, it's always a good idea to provide your guests with clear instructions on how to RSVP, whether it's through a physical card or online method.
