Hi there. We love the idea of a marquee wedding. Wondering how weatherproof they are, especially for rain but also, for heat. (Can you have air-con in a marquee?)

Hi,
They are essentially 100% weatherproof. For heat, you can remove or open all the side, so you have what is basically a shade roof. We here do not have postable AC units but i believe they are available out in the marketplace. It looks like Kennards Hire have them so you could connect with them.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi there!
The marquees are fully weather proof from the rain and you can also use heaters and air conditioning inside the tents.
Kind regards
Beth
Hi There, Our marquees come with weathershield walls that can be rolled up or down. Extremely weather and waterproof. Airconditioning is a possiblility however this would need to be sourced seperately. We can certainly assist with the installation.
Yes our marquees are waterproof, and generally speaking, all good quality marquees should be if well installed. On a sunny day keep walls open to avoid heat build up in the tent if possible. Otherwise, aircond is available but require high power outpout. Large evaporative coolers are the prefered option to reduce costs.
Hi! We supply structured marquees that have completely waterproof roofs and if installed with walls become basically like an indoor room. If you're planning to keep heat out then I would strongly suggest a white blockout roof. This can be configured with white blockout walls or clear walls, or a mix of both depending on your plans. Air conditioning is definitely a possibility and specialist companies are able to do this, however it is usually fairly costly and therefore is often reserved for more permanent installations. The options would be best discussed when booking.
Hi
Yers they are waterproof and yes you can have air-con .But we don't supply air-con for them .Sorry
Do you have a date and a venue in mind?
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi,
Our Sailcloth tent is as weatherproof as is required by the conditions. The tent comes with optional clear or opaque sides that block out wind and rain and can also be used to block off the view of toilets, mobile catering units, and other potential eyesores. Ideally, fine weather allows for no sides to be installed for an open air feel. In the cooler months we can supply gas heaters for beneath the sailcloth tent. In the warmer months we can supply fans to create airflow.
As in some of the other suppliers comments, there are aircon units available. These units are generally expensive to have installed and would only be useful in hot but wet and humid weather. We try to avoid using these. We advise to pick a wedding date outside of peak of summer when holding a tent wedding. A rogue 40 degree day is not something you want to contend with.
Another weather issue to consider is the ground/site of the tent. You might be dry from above but downhill of a large catchment area can mean rain running into your tent area. A high and slightly sandy site is ideal. We rarely find sites that have both but one or the other is preferrable. A failsafe is one of our flooring options, the best of which is custom made for the sailcloth tent and will keep you high and dry. These are best for valleys and paddocks where mud can be an issue.
