The best way to work out your schedule is have the last person / people completed 1 hour before you are scheduled to leave for your ceremony. This will give you enough time to get dressed, eat something, take photos in your dressing gowns, in your dress and with your family and bridal party before you leave for the wedding. Most makeup artists take between 45-60min pp and hair can take between 30-60mins depending on the style.

Good luck and I hope that helps : )

Your makeup artist should have everyone ready at least two hours prior to your ceremony start.  Most photographers like to arrive around that time and it makes their life a lot easier (and yours less busy) if they can begin photographing you getting dressed and take the shots of the bride and bridesmaids together before they leave to shoot the grooms party.  This will also leave you some time to relax with your girls and soak in all the ambience of the day before you leave for the ceremony.

Hi!

This depends on how many Ladies or Gents are in your bridal party.

Your hair and makeup artist will work with each other to insure you look fab

and flawless. I personally recommend you give your stylists between 30-45 min with 15 min chase time.

For example let’s say you have 4 ladies in your bridal party wanting updos and 2 blowdries!

I’d start at 730am I would aim be finished an hour before enabling you, your party

and photographer to take some pre wedding photos whilst also allowing time for travel if needed.

I hope this answers your question . Feel free to contact me as I’d be delighted to answer all your enquiries

Kind Regards

I always give a hour per person for hair and a 1 hour for make up and work back from service time with how many in the party needing hair

We always allow an hour for makeup & an hour for hair per person. we like to have the bridal party ready at least 30 minutes before they leave. So its basic maths depending on the number in your party. If it means a very early start we invite an assistant to help so you dont need to start too early!

You should have at least an hour or an hour and a half finshing off time before your ceremony. Then you count back from there about 45-60 mins each person most of the time. Your hair and makeup team will organize the arrival time for you. It usually works around when the photographer wants you to be dressed.

It's really important to get the timing right, so that your day runs smoothly. There's a few things to consider. What time do you need to leave to get to the ceremony? What time is the photographer arriving? Most photographers like to get a few shots of you having final touches to your hair and makeup and usually spend an hour or so taking photos before you leave. Ask your HMUA how long they need per person.  Once you have these details you will be able to work out a start time that won't have you stressed on this very important day!

There are a lot of factors that can affect this.  Number of people having hair and makeup completed, time needed to travel to ceremony as well as your photographers request regarding when they need you all ready by.  I would suggest booking a hair styist and makeup artist seperately so they can be working on you and your wedding party at the same time.  I would aim to have everyone complete by approx 10:30am to allow time for you to get dressed and have around an hour for photography.  Dependig on numbers this could mean you were approximately starting anywhere from 7 - 8:30am.

This would depend on how many hair & Makeup's you require for your wedding party, if you allow an hour for makeup and 45mins for hair per person this will give you an indication of a start time. If you have more then 3 people I would recommend having a hair stylist and makeup artist working together to ensure you are all ready on time.

Hope this helps.

Hi there,

I agree with the other comments that it depends on how many people you need to get ready but I'm guessing you mean, just you? If your ceremony is at 12pm then you'll want to start getting ready at 9am I would say. This way, you'll have plenty of time to get your hair and makeup done and get dressed, have some final touch ups, moments with your family/friends there with you and photographs.

It's always better to be ready a bit earlier if possible and with a 12.30pm ceremony at leat you don't need to get up at the crack of dawn (although you'll probably be too nervous to sleep anyway)

Good luck with the planning and I would suggest discussing timings with your HMUA person/team so everyone is clear on expectations and in agreement. :)
