Hello, the term "bridal makeup" can be interpreted in many different ways as everybody has there own individual style. It does not mean airbrushed makeup or any other specific type of makeup, this is something that you as a client would have to ask for specifically. A makeup artist simply names the service "bridal makeup" because it is the service of doing someone's makeup on their wedding day. The style of makeup you choose is entirely up to you. Good luck with your planning and congratulations on your engagment!
Hi Chenel
When asking for bridal hair and makeu you are asking for your look you desire on your wedding day. A good artist can create this by asking the right questions about your style.

Hi Chenel
We do airbrushing makeup as well as conventional. The advantage of airbrushing (primarily if a Silicone based foundation is used) is it's long lasting power. As a bride doesn't have a lot of time in between her ceremony, photos, guests and then reception, and at reception just wants to enjoy all her guests without wondering if her foundation is wearing off or requires any touch up! Often we trial with one side airbrush and the other conventional so the bride can decide for herself if it's best for her. In saying that though, our conventional makeup we use is high quality, long wearing and high definition. If I am being completely frank though; every bride once they see the flawlessness of the coverage with airbrush by comparison to the conventional product will choose it 99% of the time. I hope this has helped? Warm regards, Kerrie Magical Makeovers
Hi Chenel,
'Bridal Makeup' is accentuating your natural beauty.. A lot of brides can become confused by this term as when you google Bridal Makeup can actually look quite heavy.. Your Makeup Artist should discuss with you, what look you would like, how often you wear makeup etc to get a good feel of your personality before your wedding day. It is always so important to have a trial so you can make sure the MUA is the one for you and you are completely happy with the end results so you can feel relaxed on your wedding day.
Your MUA will use high quality long lasting HD makeup that will come up flawless on camera yet natural in person. Airbrushing is a great option but not a necessity.. Bridal Makeup is always finished with a bridal setting spray for longevity.
I wish you all the best for your wedding..

Airbrush makeup is not to be confused with Airbrushing in photoshop, as it often can be.
It is best to discuss with your artist what application choice is best for you and your skin rather than choosing to Airbrush or not.
When first thinking about choice of makeup application, first consider that it can come down to the brand of foundation that suits your skin. The next step is to consider the application method. An experienced artist will be able to guide you toward the best choice.
Airbrush is a light weight foundation microfine sprayed through an airbrush compressor. The fine mist of foundation covers the skin evenly giving the appearance of a flawless complexion.
Airbrush makeup is no necessarily waterproof, it really comes down to your skin type and what brand is best for you. It is also about what primers are used underneath the airbrushing. What works for one person may not work for another.
Generally speaking airbrushing is way to thin to be used for acne, scarring and fine lines wrinkles or dry skin.. At best we like to use a fine layer on top of "Traditionally applied foundation".
Traditional application ( brush applied foundation) can be the best choice for more coverage as you can work the product into any skin that may have texture problems, filling in any pores or scaring. Traditional application is also more flexible when it comes to adding more coverage or sheering it down.
If you would like to try Airbrush and would like to compare to "Traditional Application" you could try a half face of traditional and 1/2 face of airbrush at your trial.
hi Chenel
It is not always airbrushed makeup but either way the makeup applied lasts longer so it can still look amazing towards the end of the day. A mua who does bridal makeup would use quality products and would require a trial before the day to ensure the bride is happy with the look.
ALl the best

Air brush makeup and conventional are very different, best to get a trial if you are unsure of both. Each person will suit both differently. When enquiring with an MUA ask for pricing, there availability on the day, as they may only have 2-3 hours available and if you have 10 people to make over it may not work, ask for there experience in the bridal industry, products they use (if you have allergies and sensitivity) and how long they need each person. Most will give you these details or ask these questions along the way.

Hi CheneIR, A good makeup artist should offer and talk you through a range of looks for your wedding makeup. I have a library of looks to talk through with my brides and explain the differences. It will also depend on what facial features you really want to highlight on the day and your skin type etc.
I would reccommend booking a makeup artist who really makes an effort to get to know you, explains your options and you makes you feel confident in their ability to deliver on your big day :)
