Lately I seem to have brides that look at my photos and bring a photo of one of my past brides and ask if I can do the same if not they see a bride in a mag and bring a pic. Always happy to make my brides happy

Brides usually want to know what styles would suit them , also I recommend that they gather pictures & ideas of inspiration to show me so I can have a good understanding of what look they want for the wedding day.

It is probably about half, half for Updo's or down do's.The weather can change that also. Ive noticed it goes in waves. I have done alot of Big Upstyles lately on Brides. The bigger the better. Loose or Curled Messy Buns and more in the middle at the back of your head and not so much on the side.

Our brides sometimes aren't sure what hairstyles suits them.  We always recommend a style that will suit their face shape and their wedding dress.  If something doesn't work on them, we will be honest and help them find a style that will suit them.  If their hair is dry, oil, fine, frizzy, losing hair etc we always recommend products to help them so they have nice hair on their wedding day.  We often text each other to bounce ideas off one another.

Both of these styles are very popular, generally updos tend to be considered slightly more formal and suit more formal occasions, whereas down Doo’s are more suitable for backyard, beach or casual park ceremonies. You also need to take into account the climate and weather - if it will be windy or not, as lose wavy curls do not hold well on very windy beach areas  and tend to keep blowing across your face which is a nightmare for the photography. At the end of the day it’s an entirely personal choice and of course you may have whatever style you want! ??

Our brides usually come in for their free wedding hair trial with a few images or a Pinterest board of the hairstyles that they like or that they feel will suit the feel of the wedding or the style of her dress.  We then take those ideas on board and create a beautiful unique style for them.  We also take photos of the finished style and bring them along on the wedding day so that the bride has the opportunity to fine tune and make any changes that she would like to her hair.

It all depends from the bride, but I would recommend the bride to gather a few pictures of both styles. This way she can have an idea of what she wants, and based to all that information a trial can be done to help her decide wether to go for a updo or down, you have to keep in mind that is their weddings day and one of the biggest event of their life and all they want to do is look and feel their best.

My brides are normally really interested in natural looking hairstyles that suit their dresses and personality. For instance, im doin a lot of loose waves and textured hair ups that look soft on their faces. A lot of bridal parties are keeping their hair down and adding things like flower crowns etc to enhance their look. Its all about looking liek the best version of you on your day.

If you mean regarding the style of hair for your wedding, this really depends on what the wedding theme is i.e. bohemian (natural relaxed, generally an out style with relaxed beach waves) or a formal wedding (more structured updo hair style).

You can also ask your hair stylist for ideas for hairstyles if you can show a photo of your dress and the bridesmaids dresses and she can give you suggestions of styles that would work with your wedding theme.

A trial would be highly suggested if you’re unsure so you can try a couple of looks and see what you like on you.

I hope this helps you work out what you want and what questions to ask your stylist or in finding a stylist.

Goodluck with the wedding process.
