For make up to last all day and still look fresh, it is really important that the skin is prepared well prior to make up. A good primer is a must as this helps with the skin becoming shiny and oily throughout the day. Primers can be used for filling in fine lines and pores as well as controlling oil flow and helping the make up to last all day, so make sure you mention your concerns so that they correct products can be used.
Most professional foundations are designed to last all day and if your skin is naturally oily then i would use a foundation designed for oilier skin. Setting sprays are used to lock in the make up and give it staying power even on the hottest of days.
If you do find that you still get a bit sweaty in the heat, a tissue or blotting papers work well to dry it up without distrubing the make up.
I also suggest having a trial this way you can see how the make up goes throughout the day :)
If your makeup artist uses a high quality foundation, preps the skin well and applies a setting spray, your makeup should last the distance. In incredibly humid climates, even if you do perspire, a tissue press only where perspiration is beading will suffice. Airbrush makeup is your best bet in any climate condition, especially if prepped thoroughly and set.

We use water resistant or waterproof makeup products for brides on their big day. In case your wedding is under a big sunny day, you may already be sweating once you step outdoor. Dap your face with tissue to blot away sweat and oil frequently, don’t rub your face by hand or pat your face until you are excess dripping with sweat.
If you do not have a makeup artist for touch ups throughout the day, discuss this with your makeup artist in advance. We will be able to provide a self-touch-up kit for you on your actual wedding day and teach you how to use it prior your wedding. We will make sure your makeup looking fresh and last all day.
Most high quality Make up these days are pretty resiliant. If you can find a stylist that uses an excellent make up range and they use a great primer with it you shouldnt have any trouble with your make up "sweating off". If you do tend to sweat through your make up you can blot your face gently to remove any sweat and purchase a great powder that you can reapply through out the day/night. DMKC is highly pigmented and great for your skin and I havent had any dramas with my clients sweating their make up off. Even with harsh climates like Darwin NT.
The makeup we use is designed to withstand sweat and oil,. If you notice beads of moisture above your top lip or around your nose for example all you need do is just dab gently with a tissue, this will not upset the make up. We also use a setting spray so your make up will last all day and night ??

Hi,
This is a common fear of brides, especially when getting married peak season. I find that silicon based airbrush makeup helps to keep the makeup on for longer, as well as make it look less cakey . I also use a special primer which is like a deodorant for the face, it helps to reduce face sweating and lasts all day. Feel free to contact me if you need a quote incorporating both of these solutions or make sure your make up artist offers these to you.
thankyou, and wishing you all the best for your wedding day.

If you have a good quality high pigment professional panchromatic foundation, you should be fine, even through sweat and crying. This does not mean it has to be thick or cakey though. You also have the option of Airbrush makeup which is generally more durable and lighter weight. The great thing about airbrush is you can still get as sheer, or as full coverage as you like. The products we use are all Panchromatic, high pigment and Cruelty free.. So it looks great in photos (most commercial lines are not designed for photography) it's super durable and bunny friendly. :)

I often have brides asking me the same question - this is something that we as makeup artists are trained to deal with so you can put your trust in me to do my job well and assure you that this will not be a problem on the big day and it will be the least of your worries.
I have the best professional products available in my kit which I have used religiously on many different skin types and I know what products to use on oily versus dry skin as I have been trained to know how to apply certain products and what products work best with all skin types etc.
I use face and eye primers to begin with along with setting sprays to finish and power products to blend into the skin throughout to extend the longevity of the makeup. Everything is set well with powders and primers so the makeup will last!
All brides really have to do is perhaps blot skin with a tissue if they build up a thin layer of sweat (can happen on extremely hot days and if the bride is overly active - makeup is not magic but most of the time it does seem so) or somehow brides could get wet if raining for example but a touch of powder will reset immediately and the base will still be in tact so really not much, if anything for the bride to maintain, hence why you would book a professional to take these worries away from you so you can enjoy the big day and feel at ease with wonderful makeup all day and night!
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Natalia
