Also, is there an ideal time to have a trial before the wedding? Thanks.

As soon as possible.
Some dates book out 18months in advance!
But, don't panic, if you've an artist in mind reach out once you've set your date, and secured your venue to check their availability.
As soon as possible if you love their work. The popular ones (Top artists) will be booked out. Very often we are booked 1 to 1.5 years in advance.
I book up to 18 months in advance. If you are really wanting a specific artist it's always better to contact them earlier rather than later and ask them. Every artist will be different!

usually after the trail, it depends on how busy the artist is ! if you want her book her in early
From our real experience, Covid has changed the landscape of booking in this industry.
We used to receive enquiries up to 24 months out from the wedding days; however, now we are getting enquiries ranging from a few weeks out to about 15 months out.
Couples now do not want to plan a wedding that is too far away. Therefore, unlike pre-covid, we are not always booked out every weekend. That said, there are certain popular days that are completely booked out - but they are not the norm; rather, they are the exceptions.
If you have a particular makeup and hair artist whom you have in mind, it is still preferrable to secure their avaialbility as soon as possible.
If just about anyone will do, then you have options - and you can also book this closer to the wedding day than you used to.
As to trial - we recommend approximately 4-8 weeks before the wedding, so that your hair and skin tone settles and will be similar to that of the wedding day.
Give us a call if you would like to go through this in a bit more detail.

As soon as you have your date book hair and makeup, our popular dates book out very fast and you may be left disappointed.. Congratulations and have an amazing wedding xx
Great question. I think most of us artists will say the earlier the better to be sure you secure your artist of choice for your wedding styling. We all take advance bookings sometimes up to 2 years ahead of time. This will also give you the chance to trial as soon as you to can just to make sure you are both the right fit for each other.
Good luck lovely and have a fabulous wedding day.

As soon as you have the wedding date. Our wedding season tends to get very busy and mobile hair and makeup services are the first to get booked. So the moment you know your date is best to lock in your Hair and Makeup artist.

I recommend booking your hair and makeup artists as early as possible to ensure you secure your preferred professionals and avoid unnecessary stress leading up to your wedding day. Ideally, I would suggest booking 6 to 12 months in advance. This gives you enough time to lock in your desired artists, especially if you’re getting married during peak wedding season, when many makeup artists and hairstylists get fully booked quickly. Booking early also allows you to schedule a trial session, so you have time to perfect your look before the big day.
If your wedding is in the off-season or you have more flexibility, booking 3 to 6 months in advance might still work, but you may find that availability becomes more limited as time goes on. Booking at least 2 months in advance is still possible, but it’s a bit last-minute and may require you to adjust your timing or find an alternative artist if your first choice is already taken.
By booking early, you give yourself the peace of mind that comes with knowing your hair and makeup team is in place. It also allows you to coordinate with your bridal party and make sure everyone has their spot, while giving your artists enough time to manage their schedules. In the end, it’s best to book 6 to 12 months before your wedding if you can, to ensure you have plenty of time to get everything just right.
