How soon the trial should be before the wedding.

It doesn't matter to us how far before your wedding you would like to have your Hair & Makeup trial done. Some people prefer to do it six months some five days prior the wedding depending on their circumstances.

Who is the trial for?

The trial allows our artists to understand your vision and to you whether it is achievable. We also learn about your perception of hair and makeup, colours, and mainly yourself. Usually, the bride is the one to undertake the trial but bridesmaid or many times the mother prefers to have the trial done, that we highly recommend especially if any doubts about the looks are presen.

How do I make a booking?

After or sometimes before your trial (should you be confident enough in our excellent service) we finalise all the details and numbers of your bridal party and issue an invoice deposit of 15% of the final amount. Once this invoice is paid your date is locked in, until then we do keep your day pencilled in our calendars and still treat it as a priority to other enquiries.

Do I have to book both hair and makeup?

No, but you will miss on our packages discount.

How many people can be catered for?

We have a number of fantastic artists on our team which allows us to accommodate large bridal parties or to send several teams to different addresses.

Is the travel included in the price?

No there is $0.80/km travel fee calculated for one car for the entire team (if there is only one address to go to) for each kilometre each way.

What is the timing on the day?

We like to allow 50-60 minutes per person for hair and the same timing for makeup. We like to set all the long hair first to assure great hold and longevity so all members of the bridal party are required. The bride is usually second last to be finished. We always allow 20 minutes for touch-ups after the last person is completed to make the makeup fresh and to assure the hair is in its place and you all are ready for action We do bring lots of equipment and product and we require a large table to set up. The natural ambience is preferred however we do travel with our PRO lights. There is always lots of fun and laughter and everyone feels looked after without feeling rushed on our days. Shall I have a trial?

The trial will help us to understand you and how you perceive colours, shapes (your hair) and what your personal and your wedding style is.
Through the 3 hours hair and makeup trial, we spend a substantial amount of time with consultation over reference images to get to know you and what you like/dislike better.
Throughout this process, you and our artists acquire an understanding of your desired look and also of the process necessary to be carried out on the day which of course is very personal and customised to your needs. This way we prevent any possible surprises.
We will send you a detailed guide on how to approach your hair and makeup trial once you book the date in.

How long does the trial take?

We allow for 3 hours for the hair and makeup trial. We spend good 20-30min with a consultation to help us understand the style of your big day, what the dress looks like and how you see yourself and colours. Then we have 90 min for hair and 90 min for makeup. There is always some time left should you wish to change the look into “night out or date” look.

Where is the trial held?

We host the trials in the studio however on special occasions we are happy to come to you (if it fits in with other bookings on that day). Travel fee of $0.80/km applies.

Do I pay for the trial?

Yes. The process takes 3 hours of everyone's time and it is a great investment especially if you not sure what your desired look is going to look like on you or whether is even achievable.
I always suggest to you “brides to be” to arrange the trial for a day when you may have another event on. We will assure the change from your wedding look into “go out” look. This way you maximise the value of your $$ spent on the trial.

I've never gotten a spray tan before... should I try it a few times before the wedding?

Hello Ruby and thank you for this questions. We have come across so many bad spray tans and unhappy brides. I always strongly recommend to try before you buy. More so in regards to your wedding. So YES go and try as many places as you need to find the one which "tans you" so you feel like the best version of yourself.

What is the best kind of lipstick to wear on your wedding day?

I'm not sure what kind of lipstick to wear, matte? Or liner all over? Or a specific brand that stays on?

Thank you for your enquiry. Whether you use lip pencil or lipstick in MATT or VELVET or any other finish really depends on your personal preference and the look you and your makeup artist creates for your to represent you the best. I personally love using lip pencils but I always suggest to use long lasting products. The last think you want to worry about or will have time for on your big day is whether your lipstick stained your new husband's lips or whether you are still wearing any. Do I have to wear my hair up on my wedding day?

I prefer my hair down but everyones saying I should wear it up because it's more elegant and formal. Do bride's traditoinally have to wear their hair up?

Congratulations on to your upcoming wedding.

Please remember that wedding day is celebration of your and your partners love and you can what ever makes you happy and feel beautiful. I would suggest a hair trial with your hairstylist to discuss your ideas considering the neckline and style of your dress, the shape of your face. Based on these create one look with hair out and one with hair up (optional in-between) and have the hairstylist to execute these looks. Sometimes our brides decide on the day and having these options trailed all stress is eliminated.
