I always say go for styles that suit your face shape, dress style, weather and hair type over trending styles. In saying that, there are plenty of classic styles that don't date to choose from. Hollywood waves have made a big come back for those with long thick hair. If you have fine hair you can always have hair clip ins to bulk your tresses.
If you're considering an up do try a French roll that displays pieced hair swirls visible from the front to elongate your face and add glamour. This style is ideal for windy outdoor weddings. Clip in hair can also be used to bulk out your hair.
I find that styles that are not snatched at the sides can look dated. Sides that are tighter around the ear will add a face lift too which is always a bonus. All that said, go with what you love. You will always remember feeling fabulous!
