Is it normal to have two make up artists and two hairstylists for five people?
Hi. Wondering whether it's normal to have two make up artists and two hairdressers for a wedding party of 5 people? Thanks.

Depends on your ceremony time!
The earlier you start, the earlier hair and makeup needs to start.
Remember you need to be FINISHED hair and makeup 1.5-2 hours before your ceremony to allow time to not rush, and get dressed etc. This sounds like a long time but its really not.
Example:
12pm cermeony time
= ready by 10:45am at the latest
=bride, 3 bridesmaids, 1 mum ( 10 services over 5 people)
=1 hr per person = 5 hours + 30 mins buffer time
= 5am arrival time to set up with a 5:15am start.
Many of the time weddings are a good hour away for most artists so think of them and their 3am alarm, to leave by 4am to get to you by 5am.
So yes, having two artists even for a smaller group can be very beneficial if you arent a morning person :)
Hope that helps!
I want to add some thickness into my hair for my wedding
Hi there, my hair is quite thin and I want to give it some oomph for my wedding. What are some options? I've heard about clip-in extensions. (Bit worried about colour matching?) Any ideas? Thank you.
Michelle Cato Makeup & Hair Artist
Head to my pinterst page for the before and after section! You'll see many brides that have used clip in extensions. :)
Colour matching- talk to your hairdresser and perhaps look up a company like Zala hair extensions wiht them and choose togther as your extensions may need colouring or toning.

Book your hair and makeup as soon as you can!
We get very heavily booked out - as an idea, I am already taking bookings for 2023.
If there is someones work you love, then dont delay getting in touch with them to avoid dissappointment.
As for trials, I persoanlly do my brides 4-6 weeks out from their wedding day as this is when I can pull togteher their style as they have an idea of dress/ veil/ accessories- However every artist is different. Also keep in mind your skin might change in 12 months. Always best to have a trial closer tot he day to help you invisage the style. A professional artist will be able to adapt to you and any changes for the day so you are 100% happy.
Start stalking social media and websites to get a list of your fave artists and go from there!
Hope that Helps!
