Get Expert AdviceBest hairstyles for an older bride
Hello. I'm an older bride getting married for the second time. I'd like some advice please on hairstyles that suit mature brides. My hair is medium length. Many thanks.

Hello!
Don't be concerned about your age. Something complimentary, elegant and timeless is best. Speak with your stylist prior to your appointment about your questions and concerns. How do you feel most comfortable eg hair up/down, when do you feel most beautiful eg elegant up do or long waves? Extensions are always an option for thickness if you want fuller hair, too.
I know this doesn give a direct answer, but hair is personal, not age related. ??
What's better - fake lashes or eyelash extensions?
Hi! Wondering what to do with my lashes for my wedding. Should I get eyelash extensions, or should I ask for false individual lashes? Is there a preference from a makeup artist's perspective too?
Emma McGill Makeup Artist
Great question, and hi!
For me, I will always have preference to individual false lashes, two main reasons 1) they go on after liner and shadow are finished so no call-out trapped on the glue or lash (which seems to happen with most extensions and can be hard to remove at times) and 2) individual lashes cause no damage and you can still achieve a gorgeous full, and fully customised look. They do only last for the day but are much quicker to apply as well.
Hope this helps with your decision, and I'm sure your artist will work with either, just my personal preference!
Much love,
Emma.
Should I get botox before my wedding day?
I'm considering this even though I've not had botox before. From a makeup perspective is botox a pro or con?
Emma McGill Makeup Artist
If you've never had it before, do not try it just before your wedding!
So people bruise, others have reactions and at times the result isn't as expected.
By all means, try it out if you'd like but do it early on, not close to the wedding.
Hope this helps?
