I have sensitive skin, can I use my own products?

This comes up quite a lot. It depends on your level of sensitivity. If it’s not too severe then I would recommend trying out my products and see how your skin reacts. I’m yet to have a serious reaction to any of my products, a few break outs here and there is about it. If your skin is extremely sensitive then I would recommend using the products that your skin is use to and seeing what kind of look we can achieve with the products you are use to. It just depends on the person and the situation. I am always listening and ready to give advice so if you have any concerns just bring them up and we can discuss it.

What products do you use?

As a MUA with over 9 years of experience, I have tried and tested many products. The products I use, I have chosen because of their long lasting nature on the skin. My products range from top of the line to some of the most basic, all chosen based on real experiences.

What if you get sick on my wedding day and can’t make it?

in 9 years I haven’t missed a wedding due to Illness or cancellation however we are only human and things can happen. In the instance I fall ill or am hurt I have a number of back up stylists that I would contact to take my place. I would never just cancel and leave you without a stylist, I would try my best to get you a replacement. In the event I was harmed and unable to communicate at all, my husband is aware of what to do and would try his best to do what he could to make sure my brides are looked after.

Are trials necessary?

Trials are a great way to get to know your stylist and vice versa. Not only will you figure out your exact look but it will put you at ease, getting to know your stylist and you will actually feel so much more excited after having your trial. So yes, I feel trials are very important.

How long does it take to do Hair and Makeup?

This can vary depending on the styles required, but I would say 1.5 to 2 hours for the brides hair and makeup.

If you want to look your best, you have to allow the right amount of time and not rush the process.

For a bridal party of 4, I would allow 5 hours of styling time (based on two stylists).

If I pay a deposit but I’m not happy with my trial, do I have to go ahead with the booking?

No, there is no obligation to go ahead with the booking.

She has styled me for many of my significant life events, including my Year 12 formal, my 21st birthday, my brother's wedding, and most recently, my own wedding. I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Tania (Make up) for the absolutely amazing job she did with my hair and makeup for the wedding!!! (And Marie for the hair for Bridesmaids/MOB). who usually pays for the bridesmaids makeup?

The bride usually pays for bridesmaids makeup but I have done quite a few weddings where the bridesmaids have paid for their own. I think it just comes down to budgeting. Sometimes the bride might pay for the lot, other times she might pay for the hair and the bridesmaids pay for makeup. There is no right or wrong, it just depends on what fits your situation :)

Can I bring my bridesmaids to my Makeup/Hair trials?

I'm indecisive and need a firm hand to tell me if I look good!

Definitely!! Bringing your bridesmaids is helpful as they can give you an honest opinion on your final look. After all, they know you very well and know your style. They can give input to your stylist, answer or ask questions you might forget in the moment, discuss their own styles for the day and not only that, it will make for an extra fun couple of hours. Organise some nibbles, and a bottle of bubbles and watch the transformation happen :)
