Hi there, my hair is quite thin and I want to give it some oomph for my wedding. What are some options? I've heard about clip-in extensions. (Bit worried about colour matching?) Any ideas? Thank you.

Dear Bride,
Clip in extensions are the perfect addition to add length. They are easy to apply and remove. I would recommend 100% human hair and have found Zala extensions and sitting pretty to be good quality. In fact, I recently sourced a second-hand set of Zala extensions for a bride and saved her $200, they were a little lighter than her hair so gave the block colour more dimension. They also help extend the life of the curls or waves as they hold better than natural hair.
Just make sure you find a salon that has a lot of extension experience to cut and colour match them.

Hello Dear Bride! I have found the average cost depends state to state. I used to work and live in Newcastle NSW where a hairdresser would charge $120 - $150 per head and usually an extra $10 for the bride as the bride can take up to an extra 30 minutes or more. Makeup artists that I worked with charged $80 - $100 per face. So the average cost I would suggest to allow is $200 per person.
Since moving to Adelaide SA in January, I have reduced my rate to fit in with the market here. Trust me, I understand how much the wedding costs can add up, which is why I ended up having a small wedding in a park. Here the average cost would be about $180, and I have seen some artists offering hair and make up for $150. This would suit a smaller wedding party as it can take 90 - 120 minutes per person for hair and makeup.
My advice to you would be to look out for hidden costs (lashes, extra costs for hair extensions etc..), and to spend the money on a trial. Really look at the images and make sure whoever you choose aligns with your style, ethos, and vision. Some of the cheaper artists are great, but may have only been in the industry a short time and offer a lower price, don't let that fool you, look at their work on Instagram, there's so much new talent! Some of the more expensive ones may have worked in magazines or have agents so are able to charge more, but you may not want that level of styling/make up.
I know you want a cheap price, but it pays to research.
Hair and make up last just as long as the dress and wedding ring, so try not to cut corners. You can save on cheaper shoes or bomboniers, table decorations, and even online invitations can save you a lot.
