Hello! We're thinking of having our wedding on a huge family property but are wondering if that's too inconvenient for suppliers such as florists. How do flowers fare with travelling and do florists usually charge a travel fee? Thank you!

Each wedding florist may have an area that they service.
We have a small team -so our area is The Yarra Valley,Warrandyte ,Dandenong Ranges and Eastern suburbs.
We have bulit relationships with many venues and have been working her for 23 years
Most experienced wedding & event florists are familiar with the logistical preparations needed to transport wedding florals outside of the city.
I've travelled to country west NSW from Queensland to design florals for my clients - we made arrangements to ensure that I would have a coldroom for storage and a suitable area to design the florals onsite. I supplied my floristry tools, sundries and the florals, then went to work processing, designing and installing them over 2 days. I was accommodated for the two nights and travel in addition to my floral design engagement.
Likewise, I've also travelled to rural remote Western Queensland with the same coniditions.
When reaching out to florists, ensure that they are experienced and equipped to travel.
I am happy to travel up to 3 hours one way. I am located in Clyde North.
In terms of flowers, I keep them in water all the way to the venue and they are cooled throught the drive.

This will alway depends on the individual florist choice. I personally have been flown to the UK to create flowers as I was close friends with both the couples, and they trusted my vision. I had previously lived in the UK so I had knowledge of where to purchase my flowers from. In general my company does travel far for our bridal Couples in NSW and beyond.. The quote will reflect the cost for our travel and allows the couple to decide if they are willing to spend the cost if they are confident and comfortable with our service and work. Our bridal couples become a relationship with us while building their wedding floral dreams so as part of that we travel With them from the beginning to where it ends.
Hi lovely,
I have done a Wedding 4 hours away from home and the flowers were totally fine with travel and yes we do charge for travel as well. Travel cost are different depending on the location.

I am going to say anywhere you want! Your florals can be sourced from diffirent wholesalers closer to your wedding venue, if it is overseas, for example. As long as the costing is covering the staff trip, we are open to destination weddings. Hope that helps you.
Lots of love ,
Maz from Dusty Gyspsy.
